OVERVIEW

Tantalizing twang with stark silence!

Designed with the needs of professional pickers in mind, this pickup imparts all of the classic twang of a vintage Tele with one very important distinction: no 60 cycle hum and virtually no noise. The pickup utilizes Seymour Duncan's unique, hum canceling, Stack technology for unsurpassed quietness. The 6 pole piece construction gives the pickup a bright, punchy sound, while retaining a vintage look - it even includes black yarn. Try a Vintage Lead Stack solo or use one together with a Vintage Rhythm Stack (STK-T1n) for a studio quiet Tele that just drips with pure twang. 4 conductor cable.

Comments about Seymour Duncan STK-T3 Vintage Lead Stack Pickup:

Does it sound exactly like a single coil? Of course not. Is it close enough for rock and roll? Heck yes! Of course we tone geeks know nothing quite matches up to a real single coil. You lose a bit of high end sparkle. But this pick up is as close as it gets. When you play in clubs and bars with so much electrical equipment around eventually you get sick of the hum in your pick ups. This pick up is dead silent and it sounds great. I'm impressed by how snappy the low notes are. Usually you lose some low end snap with a humbucker, but not these pickups! The highs are crystal clean and clear as a bell. And there's some extra oumph also because it is really a humbucker dressed up as a single coil. You can always count on Seymour Duncan to deliver vintage tones in his pick ups. I personally think there's a little more magic in his vintage style pickups then in a DiMarzio. This pick ups does the Keith Richard's thing in spades. Danny Gatton? Yes. You want that Bakersfield sound with no hum? Yup! It also does rock and roll too. Because it's noiseless you can crank up the gain and don't have to worry about squeaks and squeals. Very versatile. I love this pick up. Also you can run it series or parallel with a simple push push pot on your tone or volume pot to get an even more authentic single coil sound! Magical! Love it love it love it. Extremely happy every time I purchase a Seymour Duncan pick up! If you want vintage tone with out the hum, buy it! Cheers.

Comments about Seymour Duncan STK-T3 Vintage Lead Stack Pickup:

This pickup is excellent because it does exactly what it's advertised for. Classic tele twang with no noise. You can run this pick up in series or parallel. One gives you a fatter louder tone. The other gives you even more twangy brightness. If you want no noise and classic sounds this is the pickup for you. It's not a powerful pickup but it does have more output than a vintage single coil because it is actually a humbucker. But it is still low enough output to maintain classic tele sounds. With the overdrive kicked in this thing sounds great. It can handle overdrive very well with out getting muddy or unresponsive. It responds to your playing nuances very well. Very articulate pick up. Bright and glassy, but it can also do fatter tones when the tone knob is backed off. It's a classic bright snappy tele sound. The low strings sound fat and snappy. The high strings snap and sing with a bright attack and good sustain. This pickup does it all. I have the vintage stack neck pick up also and it matches up perfectly with the bridge. Some people would say it gets ice picky. I say it sounds classic. Love Duncan pickups. They never do me wrong. Can't wait to put some noiseless pickups in my strat. Love it! Hope this helps.

put this into my squier affinity tele and boy what a difference. got rid of the 60Hz hum. i still got a lil hum but i believe that is from my amp settings and my room is so full of interference it aint funny lol. but the sound it creates is so much better. definitely feel this meets my goal of getting a tone close to brad paisley with also being versile with other types of country music.

If you're looking for Brent Mason's tone, you found it. This pickup through a Wampler Ego Comp and a Fender Twin is chicken pickin' heaven! This is by far the BEST tele bridge pickup I have ever used! While it sounds phenomenal for all of that, it is also an extremely versatile pickup and you can play just about anything with it and sound great!!

Comments about Seymour Duncan STK-T3 Vintage Lead Stack Pickup:

Let me start that I was considering the Hot Rails, the Pearly Gates, or the Vintage Stack. I decide on the Vintage Stack and I could not be happier. The other pups are great, but the STK-T3 makes my 2012 MIM Tele sing! Clear, quiet, and more power than the stock pup. The sound quality is way better than the stock pup. I had to run the tone pot to full treble with the stock one, with the STK-T3 I have it at half. With the
STK-T1n neck pickup you have a truly vintage Tele sound with lots of tone headroom, lots of twang and clarity. And wait til you hear it in overdrive - wow!

          Great Pickup

          By

          from Kitchener, Ontario

Comments about Seymour Duncan STK-T3 Vintage Lead Stack Pickup:

I bought this pickup and installed it in a custom built telecaster replica with a swamp ash body and maple neck. This pickup comes with 4 conductors allowing for coil splitting and various other custom wiring options. I installed it with a coil splitting push/pull pot allowing me to get two very distinct sounds from this pickup. When the coil split is engaged the pickup is more twangy and telecaster like. I have not had any hum problems at all even when coil splitting is engaged. The sound is smooth with the tone off and crunchy with tone on full. Sounds great. I am really happy with this pickup.
