OVERVIEW

When you've got to have the classic tremolo made famous by vintage '50s amps, get the Ultra Tremolo UT300.

The classic surf music of the ‘50s and ‘60s might not have even happened if tremolo hadn't come along. Vintage amps produced this intriguing effect by pulsing the volume of the instrument signal at a user-adjustable rate. The UT300 pays homage to this legendary sound, bringing it up to date for modern surf freaks.

With its dedicated Rate, Wave and Depth dials, you can shape a pulsating tremolo that nails every sound from rowdy rockabilly and surging surf, to modern space-rock. A red LED tells you when the effect is activated, and you can power this groovy stomp box with either a PSU-SB DC power supply (not included) or a 9 V battery. A top-quality On/Off switch maintains excellent signal integrity in bypass mode.

Ride the wave of classic tremolo aboard the ULTRA TREMOLO UT300. And the best part-you'll still have money for board wax and gas to get you to the beach!

Comments about Behringer Ultra Tremolo UT300 Classic Tremolo Effects Pedal:

I like this pedal. I know that there are other, better pedals out there, but I'm on a tight budget right now and this tremolo sounds good. I run it through the effects loop of my 1988 Fender The Twin and get what I need from it.
Some day I'll get one that's better and more expensive, but I'm good with this one for now.

Comments about Behringer Ultra Tremolo UT300 Classic Tremolo Effects Pedal:

Only wanting an occasional tremolo, I got a cheap Roktek tremolo in a trade with some other gear many yrs ago. It was a noisy tone sucker and not what I wanted. Basically useless for performing.
On another whim, I bought this pedal for 9.99 at MF. Absolutely worth the price...and I'd say even worth the 24.99 they want now (regular price?)
I agree with some other reviewers that Beringer's battery installation is a poor design but not a deal breaker.
Great sounding pedal for the money. Get it.

Comments about Behringer Ultra Tremolo UT300 Classic Tremolo Effects Pedal:

Just a wanted a cheap tremolo. Only used it a few times seems okay, the wave control dosen't do much to change the effect.

Comments about Behringer Ultra Tremolo UT300 Classic Tremolo Effects Pedal:

Cheap but outperforms a famous maker I had before this one. Low noise, sounds like a Fender vibrato if you want it to.

Comments about Behringer Ultra Tremolo UT300 Classic Tremolo Effects Pedal:

I wanted that "60's" tremolo sound (i.e. The Animals (Don't bring me Down), The Doors (Riders on the Storm), CCR (Born on the Bayou), without the pitch variance that some units have, and this one worked for me. It has a wide range of speed and intensity and I am happy with its performance. It loses a little definition when using neck-position pickup on my Strat but is very pronounced with the bridge-position pickup. Overall a good unit. CAVEATS: First, I'm not sure how the plastic housing would hold up on the road, but I only record in a home-studio so that's not a problem for me, and secondly, I would recommend using a 9-volt power adaptor (not included) because access to the battery is tricky. You have to compress the spring-loaded hinge pins on the foot pedal and remove it to get to the battery, and it's kind of a pain to get it off and then back on. But with a power adaptor, it should be fine.

I tried the Boss and I like this better. Quieter, smoother. I've had it for quite some time, never let me down.

Comments about Behringer Ultra Tremolo UT300 Classic Tremolo Effects Pedal:

At under $25 this is a really nice pedal. I bought it primarily for one song in our set that uses really heavy tremolo, but have found myself using a lighter setting for most other songs, too. It can go from a subtle 50s/60s sound to a full on psychedelic crunch. The only problem I have with it is that after having it on for a while (20-30min) the sound deteriorates to the point of sounding like a blown speaker. I have to turn it off for a while and then it works again.

Comments about Behringer Ultra Tremolo UT300 Classic Tremolo Effects Pedal:

The sound quality is excellent. I've used chorus pedals that cost 3 or 4 times what this one cost that don't sound any better. The signal is very clean and noise free. The only complaints I have are the housing is made of plastic and installing the 9 volt battery is a royal pain in the backside. I would recomend this pedal to a friend but if you buy it I would also recomend buying a 9 volt power supply to avoid the hassle of replacing batteries. I would have given it 5 stars but I took away 1 star for the plastic construction and the battery being so complicated to install.
