OVERVIEW

Deep, buttery, and seductive.

Designed to create vintage tube-amp tremolo, the Tremster uses a light-dependent resistor (LDR) to achieve its deep, buttery, and seductive sound. A flashing LED displays the current speed and permits a wide range from very slow to seizure-inducing head spinning. With the Mode knob in the normal position, the Tremster has an aggressive, sine-wave type effect. Depress the mode button and the effect is less aggressive with a square-wave quality. The volume knob delivers 3dB boost in maximum position. 9V operation. The Tremster includes a 2-year unconditional warranty.

FEATURES
  • Vintage tube-amp tremolo

Comments about T-Rex Engineering Tremster Tremolo Pedal:

I saw the price checked the reviews and JUMPPED on this one. Went from guitar to bass when I joined a new Worship team about 7 years ago. I started adding pedals to the sound when a friend bequeathed me an early 80's Boss Digital Delay that he played professionally for 25+ years. So of course it is the standard by which I judge all others.

This T-Rex pedal has a permanent place on my pedalboard!! (Unless a tank happens to roll over it and my old Boss delay!).

Plugged it into the daisy chain of my Godlyke power supply and no problems. Have played several months during weekly 45-60 min+ Worship sessions plus practice time etc.. This effect pedal gives the rich tone of a 60's tremolo without the hissing/hums/and clipping found in so many pedals today. (Yes I am old enough to have been there:) Great sound for some periods of Singing in the Spirit. Looking forward to growing into the potential this pedal has.

Comments about T-Rex Engineering Tremster Tremolo Pedal:

I have several amps that don't have tremolo, so I wanted a pedal for those amps. I'm partial to the original Fender variable bias tremolo and this pedal does it very nicely. It also will do the more radical tremolo that a lot of modern players want. My only complaint is I feel it could be just a hair warmer. I wanted that swampy sound, this pedal gets it, and I quite like it.

Comments about T-Rex Engineering Tremster Tremolo Pedal:

I was looking for a vintage type of tremolo, and usually they are so expensive. As I do not use tremolo all the time,I was not willing to expend too much. I decide to get a TREMSTER from T-REX by the excellent price here at Musician's Friend to test. I am really impressive with the sound quality. I put on my pedal board just after my delay pedal into amp effect loop, and works really awesome! I don't need more then offered on this pedal, a very good tremolo vintage sound a la Black Keys. Also is possible to do kind of chop Trem pushing the deep and volume at 15 o'clock. For sure is recommendable!

I bought this as a deal of the day. The ad says it works with any 9 Volt power supply. It doesn't. It doesn't even work with the power supply Musician's Friend sends you for free after you complain about the misleading ad.

Comments about T-Rex Engineering Tremster Tremolo Pedal:

I haven't had the pedal for long but I don't think my opinion of it will ever change for the worse. It works very simply and easily as described, and sounds good with my Egnater Rebel 30 combo. I'm not going to gig with it, so I can't speak to how it behaves on stage. I just have a few pedals to mess around and practice with. I think players will appreciate the "Mode" button. If you start off with the other 3 controls straight up in the 12 o'clock position and just engage and disengage the mode button, you will get the idea that you can really do a lot with this pedal, from a soft and subtle effect to something much more obvious. There are probably other pedals that will give you the same range of the trem or vibe effect, but to me, that button kind of sorts it out in a simple and intuitive way. I got this pedal when it was the Stupid Deal of the Day, which made it a comfortable price. The only criticism I have regarding it and the description on Musician's Friend is, it is listed as "handmade in Denmark", but on the bottom of mine it says "Made in Taiwan". And it doesn't say anything about it being handmade. It still sounds cool and I do like it, but let's get it together with the description

Comments about T-Rex Engineering Tremster Tremolo Pedal:

I did my homework and found that this pedal was exactly what I was looking for. No frills, just great tremolo / vibrato. So many pedals are incorporating multiple effects and it's difficult to find simple gear.

It's built very tough and sounds good. Common 9V power requirement. Does what it's intended to do and nothing more.

I got mine on sale for almost half price at a competitor but even at retail I'd buy it again.

I cant believe there are no customer reviews of this pedal- it's fantastic! I only wish everything else I've purchased over the last 20 years sounded so great! It's one of those magical pieces of gear that just sounds awesome no matter what! Good job Trex!
