    Very Poor Microphone

    By Antonio_4346

    from Denver

Comments about Sterling Audio ST44 Small Diaphragm Tube Condenser Microphone:

Of all the SDC's I've owned, this was the worst; no presence, no low-end, and absolutely horrendous on high volume applications. Don't buy into the tube hype, ESPECIALLY in this price range. Tube mike? Please, the tube in this microphone is hard wired in and is small than my thumbnail. I would recommend the SM81, AT4031, SM87, C1000, or practically any other microphone...even an MXL. Steer clear and save yourself the trouble.

    Miracle Mic

Comments about Sterling Audio ST44 Small Diaphragm Tube Condenser Microphone:

These mics are soem of the best mics out there, they explode on guitar amps, nice tight lows, aggressive mids and highs from heaven, you can ware your eq knobs out getting a million different guitar tones with these guys. They are really great for overheads on drums, pianos, box guitars, vocals.

    High quality for cheap!

    By Kount Kris

    from N. Providence, RI

Comments about Sterling Audio ST44 Small Diaphragm Tube Condenser Microphone:

I just bought this microphone a couple of days ago and it did more than just impress me. Before I got this mic I had the MXL 990 and 991, but something about those two just didn't cut it. When I used the Sterling mic and mic'd up my mic, the exact sound that I was hearing in the room was the sound that was recorded onto my computer. Truely a great deal for the price!
