Comments about Allora Nylon Alto Saxophone Gig Bag:

This bag is low-profile and makes it easier to bring my instrument back and forth to school on the bus. It is not suitable for travel, just short trips where the sax won't be banged around! Attractive and lightweight, for "light duty."

Comments about Allora Nylon Alto Saxophone Gig Bag:

Ooh pretty!
Don't buy into that. You know better. Just because that guitar was pretty doesn't mean it sounds good. And this instrument bag, as pretty as it is, performs about as bad as Eddie Money on a Geico commercial. First I'd like to mention the rubbery nubs on the bottom. Allora built spikes into the base of the exterior. Good idea to keep the nylon from wearing. Unfortunately the nubs are staggered and they forgot to the pad the base, so there's about 1/4" of fabric between your bell and the concrete. I'll guarantee my $2000 Jupiter would be a $20 hunk of bent brass if I dropped the bag.

There is one pocket. Considering I have to take off the neck, mouthpiece and reed, that's not a lot of storage space. Forget any other accessories. And why pad the pocket *shaking head*? Once those parts are removed, the instrument just barely fits, leaving the hollow neck rubbing against the top of the bag.

The best thing was the side padding. Nice and thick. Easy open zippers, durable backpack straps, quality clips, durable nylon finish. Definitely not water resistant.

I couldn't recommend this to anyone. If you have a cheap sax, maybe, but if you've ever had one, you know ANY dings will destroy it's limited capabilities pretty quickly.
