A ring-style ligature that allows for the ultimate reed vibration and is very free-blowing. The ligature only touches on the outside edges of the reed and the backside of the mouthpiece, preventing any dampening and improves the harmonics in your tonal quality. An inner o-ring prevents any scratches to your mouthpiece, and also provides a strong hold to prevent slipping.
Designed by a musician, these ligatures slip accurately into position and do not slip or stretch. The reed vibrates freely with no dampening. Each lig is studio-engineered to the highest standard of intonation and tonal quality.

Comments about Bois Classique Clarinet Ligatures:
As a semi-professional jazz saxophonist and clarinetist, I have been wanting to try a ligature that doesn't involve tightening screws. For many years, I had to use the "traditional" kind of ligature that requires screws, and that has always been a burden for me. Just recently, I purchased a Bois Delrin clarinet ligature and a Bois alto saxophone ligature, and both arrived just in time: 5 days after I placed my order on the internet. Just when they arrived in the mail, I opened the packaging, and I noticed that both ligatures came in neat little plastic boxes with foam padding. Also, the mouthpiece caps were a stretchy, rubbery fabric material that just went on the mouthpieces at the joint of the black ring ligatures. Now, I no longer have to worry about dropping my mouthpiece caps and causing a clickety-clack or a clattering noise, nor do I have to take so much time to tighten screws properly. I definitely noticed the improvement in my tone for each instrument when I tried my Bois ligatures, and I am so happy! Reed players, if you hate screws, lean towards Bois ligatures.
