Buffet Crampon

An expressive clarinet deserving of the name Prestige.

The Buffet R-13 clarinet has a 40-year history of quality and craftsmanship. From the wind ensembles to the great symphony orchestras, it is the benchmark in clarinet manufacturing. Crafted in high-quality grenadilla wood to ensure evenness of tone and response. The R-13's 3-step polycyndrical bore is noted for its dark, full sound.
GreenLine instruments are made with wood that is recovered and recycled in the manufacturing process using a proprietary technology developed by Buffet. The resulting wood composition is resistant to temperature and humidity changes.

Didn't buy it from this website, but I would just like to say that this is DEFINITELY the best clarinet out there. No clarinet beats it. The transitions between notes, octaves, and even going over breaks is beautiful. It produces some of the best tone, especially with a crystal mouthpiece. To any serious clarinet player: You will not regret getting this clarinet

I love this Clarinet so much. It plays wonderfully and I get compliments on my tone quailty all the time. I used to play on a yahama plastic clarinet and I tried to play it the other day and it is 100 times harder to play then my Buffet and it sounds horrible compared to it. I suggest this clainet to anyone who is really serious about playing. It is the Best!

I have played clarinet for around 11 years and played a MILLION different horns. The Pretige was the best one I had EVER purchased. Recently thought, I had it stolen. I can not afford another one, but I have to say, no other clarinets response is as great at this one, both in the high and low registers. You wont regret purchasing one.

There really isn't much to be said.  This is one of the best clarinets on the planet.  Tone is excellent.  Transitions are seamless.  I have been playing one for 10+ years, along with my prized Selmer Series 9A (Jazz clarinet, narrow bore).  The larger bore of the Buffet makes it easier to play.  I typically used 3.5 or 4 reeds with the Buffet.  This clarinet in the right hands can truly sound magical.  I would highly recommend it to anyone who has decided they are committed to playing the clarinet for years to come.  It is a very worthwhile investment.
