      Bundy

A staple of band programs for beginning flute players.

Elegant construction and attention to detail make the Bundy BFL-300 silver-plated flute a superb choice for new players. It features a plateau key-style and an offset G key for maximum playability, especially for musicians with smaller hands.
This Bundy flute provides an outstanding value to any beginning flute player. The design of this flute helps it produce a sweet, dark tone, while the stainless steel springs help it stay adjusted. The silver-plated finish not only looks nice but is very durable as well.

      Comments about Bundy BFL-300 Flute:

Forty five years professional instrument repair tech.
Pads are too thick and only work for a short period of time. Once they lose their factory seating they must be reworked, shimmed, or replaced to function.
Factory trick on these and other cheap imports. Use over size pads, moisten, heat and clamp down tightly creating a deep seat in the pad's felt interior. Adjusted at the factory to play. Once the felt regains some shape the seat fails creating a bulky, spongy, feel, striking at the rear of the tonehole. Here's a tip. For the same money buy a name brand Gemienhardt, Yamaha, etc used that has been refurbished for the same money.

I am really happy with my decision of buying this Bundy flute which is really good for a new student and it's not expensive in comparison with others flutes.

            Don't waste your money..

            Comments about Bundy BFL-300 Flute:

I've played flute for many years, and my kids decided they'd like to learn it as well. I decided that Bundy was an affordable brand for them to start out on. The Bundy flute lasted about a month before the sound started to seem off, and the tone was not holding well, even when their instructor would try to play it. We took it to a repairshop who basically told us that the instrument was so poorly made we should just dispose of it. I took it to another, who could not find what was wrong with it, although it still was not performing up to standard.I bought my daughter a student model Gemeinhardt instead, and it has far exceeded the quality of the Bundy. I would never buy one of these again, and I would strongly urge others to investigate a different brand.
