Dukoff

Highly versatile.

Dukoff's Tenor Saxophone mouthpieces feature construction from Dukoff's custom Silverite metal. This contributes to a bright "edgy" tone with depth and guts for an exciting sound. The shank of the mouthpiece has been elongated to get a better grip on the cork when tuning. The insert for the teeth is slightly contoured for more comfortable playing. The response is instantaneous and clean.

Cool sound with any sax

By Gabriel P. Navarro

from San Mateo County, CA

Comments about Dukoff Metal Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:

I've used Dukoff tenor sax mouthpieces for tha past 8 years and they all worked great with my King Super 20, Conn 10M, Yani T991 and even cheaper brand saxes I purchased on eBay. I also use the Dukoff Vibra Free lig with them and was always satisfied with the punchy sound I get from the bottom, all the way up to very high Altissimo.

I've Never had a Problem...

By WattsProdigy

Comments about Dukoff Metal Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:

I really love these Dukoff mouthpieces, they really have a very bersatile tone that can be very lush and soft or very aggressive and hard. The quality of these mouthpieces isn't bad but not exceptional either. You start out with a shinny mouthpiece and after a few years of regular use end up with a very dull ironore looking mouthpiece. Aside from that these mouthpieces are perfect. Many people have complained about these mouthpieces being too bright for high quality horns, but I have been playing my Dukoff D10 for 10-years now on Selmers, Yanagisawas, Keilwerths and they have a very versatile playability. My recommendation is to give them a try and try different reeds and ligature; the stock ligature is a little cheap, try an Olegature.

Great mouthpiece

By Dave Alt

from Alameda, Ca.

Comments about Dukoff Metal Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:

I've been playing Dukoff tenor mouthpieces for the past 15 years...I have a 7D & 7M...they're both very free-blowing and flexible...by changing reeds you can get dark to very edgy sounds...they're one of the best pieces (especially for the price)on the market today.

with the right horn

By mike-kV4rx

from huntsville, AL

Comments about Dukoff Metal Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:

Great gig mpc if your horn has a muted or soft tone. I play with a bundy II beater and it adds a nice edge to the tone that is reasonable to control. Altissimo is present, volume is greater than, say, a stock mpc, slightly above a selmer soloist. Easier to control than a meyer, but still a bit finicky. Once you get used to it, it's a lot of fun to play.Way too bright for ensemble work. Way to bright for decent Selmers, Yanigasiwa, LA Sax, unless you're trying to etch glass... Great for horns with naturally "dull" voices.Crummy Ligature.Overall, I've enjoyed mine a good bit!
