OVERVIEW

Student clarinet with excellent build quality and accessories.

This beginner’s clarinet outfit starts where every student instrument package should start, with an easy-playing, good-sounding instrument that tunes well with other instruments in the band and that is reliable and durable. The Giardinelli brand is proven to be reliable and easily repaired if damage occurs. It is built to withstand the rigors a student model instrument can sometimes go through, and is presented at a price that a young family can afford. The Giardinelli GCL3 is an impressive student level clarinet with incredible tone and intonation. It features an ABS resin wood grain finish with nickel silver power-forged keys, and includes an adjustable thumbrest for increased playing comfort, as well as a case, polishing cloth, cleaning swab, cork grease and reed.

Comments about Giardinelli Student LE Clarinet Outfit:

Played in grammar school. They have adult lessons and an orchestra locally. I wanted to participate and get serious, but keep things within budget. This instrument gets good reviews and the price is good. All the keys work (parts machining is a little rough though)and the instrument is accurate. The seals were/are tight and I continue the generous cork grease applications. I was careful when I first started assembling the horn, as I did didn't want to damage the keys. Overall quality seems to be good and I would say this is good value for the money.

Comments about Giardinelli Student LE Clarinet Outfit:

I purchased this clarinet for my daughter who has extensive experience in jazz, orchestra, ensemble, and marching bands. I intended for this clarinet to be used as a backup for her Yahama; however upon receiving the shipment it was clear that the package containing the clarinet had already been opened at some point. When my daughter first tried to assemble the instrument, the mouthpiece would not connect with upper joint. The diameter was too large, so either someone swapped out mouthpieces or it was very poorly machined at the factory. Now I have to buy a new mouthpiece for a brand new clarinet. We have no time to go through the rigamaroll of the return process.
