This is a must-have for beginning band students. I bought this neck strap for my son who said that his strap which came with his Etude EAS-100 Student Alto Saxophone, hurt and cut into the back of his neck during practice.
It is nicely padded, it feels cool and comfortable to wear and it can be adjusted easily to the right length. It comes in several colors which is great!
We ordered red, it is attractive without being too bright. My son says the red color adds a little touch of fun to his playing.

Buy 2 & give one to a friend. I started playing clarinet again after a 20 year gap, and found that my right wrist, where thumb comes down into wrist) was in agony, even days after playing a few hours. I thought I would have to quit. I looked online and found that this condition was titled "Oboeist Thumb" and tried the cheap fix, the comfort strap. I ordered 2, and gave one to someone else who was actually numb during band. This product truly helped me. I suggest reading online searching under "Clarinet and thumb pain, wrist pain". Several other clarinet players, and oboe players I have met also have pain problems and are going to order this product. The clarinet weighs about 2lbs. or something. For me, I did not think that another type of thumb rest would help as the Weight of the clarinet is still borne by the hand. I do not have neck problems with this product.
