Comments about Otto Link Metal Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:

Just got a P.Mauriat 66-R series Tenor and was thinking the mouthpiece that came with it was fairly decent until I plugged in the new Otto Link. A difference of night and day! The sound is now very large and rich through the whole register. Has a fairly large opening and am using a Vandoran standard #3 which seems to be a good combination. If you want BIG and Rich this may be the mouthpiece for you.

    Loving this mouthpiece!~*

Comments about Otto Link Metal Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:

Was playing my WWTS Black Nickel Student Tenor Saxophone with it's original mouthpiece and decided to upgrade to a better MP. I got this Otto Link MP and it looks great with my black nickel model tenor!
This MP made an extremely significant improvment on my overall tone. The starter MP would sqreek a bit after playing a while, but this one holds up fine for long hours. I like it a lot. I recommend getting a mouthpiece cushon with it as well for resting your top teeth on while playing.
I use this MP primarily for open mic JAZZ nights and really love it.
Very nice solid piece with good looking gold finish.
    I got the 7* model.

    By far the best

Comments about Otto Link Metal Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:

Went to the store to try some sub $160 mouthpieces out, and I was pleasantly surprised!I tried this version #7 and #6. The sound was brighter than the rubber ones I tried. It sounded awesome for pop music. On stage however, all the bright gets drowned within the band's volume. This mouthpiece was by far the best sounding, and easiest to play mpc.I ended up buying a #6, which works fine with my standard reeds, and wonderfully with a fibracell #3 reed.I do have found it's easy to play, even for beginners, but it's hard to change the tonal properties. I find it easier to change the tone on a rubber mp, by moving the reed slightly over , or barely on the chamber walls. This one has little sound dynamics; but IMHO is a perfect studio mp!

What can I say? Just see who uses them...

Comments about Otto Link Metal Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:

Too many of the great horn players have trusted their tone to Otto Link. I have an 8 that was hand picked by a friend who was playing for Tito Puente at the time (over 20 years ago) and it still sounds just as rich and full today as it did then. The only word of caution, as with any mass produced items, is that you take the time to test out as many as possible because they will play differently. But pound for pound, it's hard to beat the overall quality and tone you get from an Otto Link mouthpiece.
