Comments about Rico Royal Graftonite Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece:
I bought and use the Grafonite B7 for Tenor sax, weekend gigs. It is an outstanding jazz mouthpiece once matched to the correct reed for your playing ability. I thought I could get the same response on the alto and bought the B5, it didn't work the same. The sound is too edgy and it blows too easy, without much resistance, making it hard to control. A larger A chamber size might work better on the alto. They are still a good mouthpiece for the money. I recommend starting with an A5 size.
Comments about Rico Royal Graftonite Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece:
The mouthpiece arrived a couple days ago, a C7 faced one. I wanted something akin to a metal mouthpiece, with greater volume and more brightness. The mouthpiece is definitely a value add and will go a long ways for someone into jazz. About the only negative is the side that mounts onto the cork, the rim had a sharp edge and gouged the cork. To correct, I used a sharp knife to remove the ridge and chamfer it, which fixed it. Other than that, I am well pleased with this mouthpiece.

Im new to playing and it was only when I campared this mouthpiece to my other that, I realized how much ease of play and projection this mouthpiece has.Even the A3 has loads of projectionGreat for marching band...
