Comments about Selmer Dri Bore Clarinet Swab:

My daughter has been playing clarinet for many years now, and when she gets home from the road she often does not have the time or energy to clean her clarinet...that job is relegated to me...her mom. I have found all of the Selmar accessories highly reliable. I've tried several other types of cleaning cloths and swabs, and they cannot compare to the quality and overall durability of the Selmar.

Comments about Selmer Dri Bore Clarinet Swab:

As a clarinetest who babies her insturment, I'm quite meticulous about the maintenance of my darling. For example, about two years ago, my cleaning rag broke and I ended up using paper towels due to my refusal of leaving my clarinet uncleaned after practice.
When my old cleaning rag was pretty much almost dead, I decided to use MusiciansFriend.com to buy a new cleaning cloth since I had been quite satisified from a previous purchase. I came across this, the Dri Bore Clarinet Swab, and chose it, mainly due to the low cost. I somewhat doubted it and had bought two; however, I found out that this clarinet swab performs its job extremely well. The cloth itself feels strange, especially after cleaning.I don't know if its for all the cloths, but I can see the, uh, spit on the cloth after cleaning(I know, it sounds gross, but saliva in the instrument is bound to happen).
The weighted end allows the string to drop through the instrument without being caught on its way down- provided that the string is not knotted or tangled before being used.
All in all, this is a trustworthy product, made even better due to it being quite affordable.

Comments about Selmer Dri Bore Clarinet Swab:

I prefer this swab to the chamois ones because 1. they dry up and then become hard to draw through the clarinet, 2. the weight on this cloth is just heavy enough to fall down thru the clarinet from the mouthpiece. The others I have used do not fall down I would have to shake my clarinet.

Comments about Selmer Dri Bore Clarinet Swab:

After over 60 years of playing music and having had multiple swabs for such, I made the mistake of attempting to save money by ordering this CHEAP and I do mean CHEAP swab. This thing does nothing but move the water around and absorbs absolutely NONE of it. Don't waste a penny on this. Spend what you need to get a quality one.
