The body of the Yamaha YCL-450 is made from select grenadilla wood and produces a warm and rich sound. The key work on this step-up clarinet is very solid and comes in silver or nickel plating. Complete with case, Yamaha 4C Bb clarinet mouthpiece and Yamaha care products.

I have owned the Yamaha YCL-450 for roughly 2 years now and i am very satisfied with it. If you are looking for an intermediate level clarinet this is unbeatable for the price. Most people look at the Buffet E-11 in addition to this model however from experience i have noticed that with Buffet instruments prices tend to be substantially higher with little to no difference in the quality/features.Overall i would recommend this instrument to anyone.Pros:great sounddurableinexpensivewider bell (for better projection)Cons:The one problem i had with this instrument is that the B key dosent work unless you press very hard (i have noticed this on several yamahas) hoverer this is a very easy adjustment that can be done with a screwdriver

Just got mine in the mail the other day, and it sounds absolutely beautiful. Warm sound. Beautiful dark brown wood. Couldn't be happier. Upgraded from the standard Yamaha student model, and I notice a huge difference in quality.
