Comments about Yamaha YCL-CSGII Series Professional Bb Clarinet:

I have the original CSG, without the great new keys. Even so, pitch is way better than my old Buffet, tone centers beautifully, warm luminous sound. Not quite as big and fat as Buffet, but much more centered - not spread. Hamilton plating absolutely adds warmth to the tone. Yamaha service was great in tuning and perfecting the horn for me.

    Best Clarinets I've ever owned

    By James Garcia

    from Chicago

Comments about Yamaha YCL-CSGII Series Professional Bb Clarinet:

Yamaha needs to work on working with serious clarinetists a little bit more. I had to really hunt these downs and many reps seemed confused in terms of what I was looking for. However the extra work was well worth it.
Low E/F Mechanism is fantastic. It is liberating to be able to easily achieve into Fortissimo Low E/F when needed. This has been in German designs for a long time, I'm glad it has finally hopped over to french instruments.
Serious clarinetists have gotten used to having to sort through a bunch of junk Buffets to find a good one and then after that you have to send it to get it serviced/overhauled. Yamahas are consistent and we ready to play in concert when I purchased the set.
These feel like the most custom hand made clarinets I have ever used yet they were more affordable than most other horns on the market. I would have paid double for these clarinets.
