Recognizing the versatile needs of saxophonists today, Yamaha developed a saxophone capable of performing both classical and jazz. The result is the YTS-82Z Custom Z Tenor Saxophone. Jazz sax players will be knocked out by the projection, sweet tone and availability of an unlacquered model. Classical saxophonists will be enamored of the control over their tone from pianissimo to fortissimo.

Yamaha’s YTS-82Z offers many improvements to Yamaha saxophones of the past, while maintaining a consistent build quality and free-blowing nature. The body of the Custom Z is made from a special brass alloy offering a lighter weight and a tonal flexibility only dreamt of until now. The Custom G1 neck helps produce a quick and agile response, while key action and placement just feel right. The YTS-82Z captures the sound of popular vintage saxophones of the past, but adds the comfort of modern mechanisms and playability.


Body design
The 82Z features a two-piece hydro-formed bell. The body, bell, and bow are annealed during production to make this horn more responsive and less resistant.
Mechanisms
The new mechanisms on the 82Z allow for faster action and easier repair.
Blue steel springs
The 82Z comes with blue steel springs for faster, more sensitive key response and higher resiliency.
New case
The new 82Z comes equipped with a newly designed lightweight case that has a shoulder strap.
Engraving
Eye catching engraving will give you the look of a custom horn.

Features:

I brought this saxophone and the sound is very balance, clear and warm. The movement of the keys are basically flawless, its a gorgeous looking instrument and I just love playing it. I can hit a clear high G note with no dificulty, toned, loud and clear. Great investment worth every penny of it.

I went to my local music store and got to try one of these out. i played it for about 2 hours at the store i just loved it. It's built and plays like a tank i'd play this horn if i had the money.

I've hade this sax for about four months and the moment I first played it I was blown away with its tone and how responsive it was. The only down side of this horn is its price but it's worth every penny.
