Yanagisawa sure knows how to make a good mouthpiece. Sound is bright, but not overwhelming. Plenty of power and control.

Looks great, feels great and most importantly sounds great. Worth every penny-If smooth, resonant, consistant tone is important to you. I can do everything on this horn that I do with my Tenor and sounds every bit as good. This mouthpiece is a winner.
The Soprano Sax that I had recently purchased came with a standard ebonite mouthpiece. This mouthpiece did not provide the tone or consistency that I was looking for. I was constantly flat on my notes and had to put in tremendous effort. I ordered this mouthpiece with the intention of returning it if it did not drastically improve my sound. Well, I threw away the return authorization slip because this mouthpiece did the trick-instantly the tone was bright, responsive, effortless and smooth as silk. I get the same attack on my Soprano as I do with my Tenor using the Yanisagawa mouthpiece. Everyone who has heard me play, including my sax playing peers say that the sound is awesome. I absolutely recommend this mouthpiece to anyone who is having Soprano tone issues. This Yanisagawa (5 opening) instantly improved my sound and was most defintely worth the money that I spent.
