The Zonda reeds take their name from the hot wind that races through the Zonda Pass in the Andes Mountains. The Zonda whips the growing cane back and forth, strengthening its fibers. Under the stewardship of 2 generations of the Gonzales family, the Zonda cane is painstakingly cultivated in a pesticide-free environment, then aged and hand-selected.

Comments about Zonda Classico Bb Clarinet Reeds:

I'm a novice. It took constant attention to my embouchure to avoid squeaking. I have since stepped up to a better brand and problem solved. Maybe an experienced player can make good use of these, but I couldn't.

Comments about Zonda Classico Bb Clarinet Reeds:

What can one expect from reeds that cost less than a dollar each? Some were surprisingly good after grinding the hell out of them with reed rush, but most were generally stuffy and bright. Usually these are opposites, but these reeds achieved both at the same time. In a bad way. Then again, I would buy a thousand of these before buying another Rico classic...

    Zonda weird name good reed

Comments about Zonda Classico Bb Clarinet Reeds:

i've used several different brands trying to find one to call the "best". Zonda is better than Rico in my opinion. These reeds are more predictable when you buy a box. Most of the reeds were playable 8 out 10 reeds. Thumbs up on quality control
