Too bad it's not a hard shell and just a bag.
I bought two, one for my 34" scale, and one for my 35" scale six string. The six string didn't fit. :-/ That's my only complaint. I planned on upgrading to a hard coffin case eventually, anyway, so, I guess that's what I'm getting next.
I own other coffin case gig bag products as well and think they are great as well as very cool. Wanted to try this econo product. There is no disputing the overall quality of materials and build. It is decently padded and a good quality bag and worth the price from that standpoint. It should last a long time. The one issue though is that with the universal bass and guitar bags, there is a storage pouch inside the case at the bottom where the bag narrows to keep the coffin shape. This bag supports the instrument bottom in those cases as due to the coffin shape, the instrument bottom would not slide down to the very bottom of the case. With this econo version, that pouch is not included. The instrument therefore does not have any bottom support other than where the bag tightens on it due to the bags shape. This leaves about a 3" unoccupied spot at the bottom of the case that kinda flops around. This could be remedied by rolling up a towel or finding another soft type storage bag to fit down there ..... but you really shouldn't have to do that. So, good quality gig bag, well built with enough padding to provide the protection that you get with gig bags. But, that one empty bottom issue keeps this from being a really good bag at the price. In my opinion, while this econo bag is definitely workable, it's worth the extra 15 to up to the universal Coffin Case bags. Still, the econo is a pretty good buy if you gotta have the coffin and don't have the dough.
