Comments about Dean Markley SR2000 7-String Bass Strings:
I use these strings on 6-string basses so that I can tune the bass like a guitar.
Comments about Dean Markley SR2000 7-String Bass Strings:
I'm now ordering my 4th, 5th, and 6th sets of these strings. I've been playing for 13 years, and started experimenting with strings from Ernie Ball, DR and other junk. Finally, I came back to my Rotosound Swingbass strings. Then, Elixir nanoweb strings came out...great strings! However, the SR2000s have a better feel and tone for my style, and they are less expensive! I'm so glad I found these, and they bring out the tone of my 4, 5 and 7 string basses which have all varieties of pickups. You won't be disappointed!
Comments about Dean Markley SR2000 7-String Bass Strings:
I purchased these thinking I might find a reasonable alternative to the more expensive Snakeskins from Conklin. At first they seemed to perform well, but the tone, especially that of the C and F strings, became lifeless quickly - much more quickly than the Conklin Snakeskins. These are OK strings but not nearly as full of character as Snakeskins.

.
I've used the SR2000 for years, the snakeskins are very good but high priced, i can't justify the difference in price as i'm stringing up more than one bass for stage, plus going through musicians friend i can get them when i need!!

The Strings have great tone Quality...Just need to strengthen the F string so it doesn't snap so easily...especially when Bassist take Playing and Music serious as a Profession...

Clearly was hand packed. Only had 6 strings in the package of a 7 string set. Worthless....
