Comments about DiMarzio 3-Way Pickup Selector Switch:

I have used the three major brands. This is the same quality as the other two. It looks like it came from the same factory as CRL. Same materials and factory sticker. Looks like a re-branded switch. The Oak-G is extremely similar but may come from a different factory. This switch is no better or worse than the other two. Before installing, take a look at the switch to make sure the contacts are aligned properly. As with other electrical components...be careful when soldering to not overheat.

Comments about DiMarzio 3-Way Pickup Selector Switch:

My new Asian Affinity Tele played perfect out of the box but the 3 way switch failed within 48 hours. Purchased a new switch, eventually found a diagram from Fender and re-wired it. Now the guitar works perfect, sounds great and everything functions as it should.

Comments about DiMarzio 3-Way Pickup Selector Switch:

Three way switches like this one are most often used in Teles with standard wiring, so I wonder why they didn't include the Tele tip? It doesn't matter, I used it for a cheap Strat and the two colors they do give you fit better than most I have used. The contacts and fiber board are strong on these, and the switch has a great 'thud' sound when moved, so it won't pop out of position very easily.

Good components don't make your guitar sound better, but they do keep it from sounding worse and the overall experience of using this switch makes it worth the extra money. My hand is no longer knocking the switch out of position when I strum down, which is reason #1 why I've always hated Strats. Who designed this stupid guitar anyway? Oh yeah, right:)
