OVERVIEW

Get some guts without losing tone!

Add beef to the middle and bottom-end of your Tele or Esquire guitar bridge pickup sound with this single-coil pickup from DiMarzio. This 2-conductor pickup packs a classic Alnico V magnet and puts out 170mv of juice. The bright, steel guitar-like fundamentals of the original pickup are fattened up, while the mids and low-end are boosted to add punch and depth. You'll still cut through the band, but with a wider range of tone.

Great bridge pickup

Comments about DiMarzio DP112 Pre B-1 Tele Bridge Pickup:

This is a very good sounding pickup. It has a nice balance of bass, mids and treble. I play through Marshall amps (plexi, 2203 and an 18 watt clone) and this pickup works great for classic rock, country and blues. The top end is smooth and not too bright. It has more bass, fatter mids and more rounded highs than the stock Fender pickup I replaced. I'm very happy with it and would recommend it, especially for the price.DiMarzio says it's about 25% hotter than stock Tele pickups but it's closer to 10%. This is fine with me because I usually don't like high output pickups.

Comments about DiMarzio DP112 Pre B-1 Tele Bridge Pickup:

I had the opportunity to buy an inexpensive Telecaster copy for little coin but the bridge pickup was pretty mediocre.

Since I had so little in the guitar I did not want to spend a lot of money on it and this inexpensive pickup vastly improved the tonal qualities. While not quite the same tone as a real Fender Tele it was a major improvement and at half a hunnerd dolla bill I am thrilled with the sound I now have.

One caveat is that this pickup has major hum if you do not ground the bridge. Very quiet though when the bridge is properly grounded. I have had good luck in the past with Dimarzio pickups and have nothing bad to say about this one.

Comments about DiMarzio DP112 Pre B-1 Tele Bridge Pickup:

This is the second Pre B-1 I've installed in a Tele. The sound is single-coil but still phat. Works well with the Master PAF in the neck position.

Comments about DiMarzio DP112 Pre B-1 Tele Bridge Pickup:

Pickup sounds great just as described more mid and bass and less highs. It matches extremely well with a strat type pickup at the neck position of a tele. It has less highs but still maintains a good single coil tone a tele vibe. It takes distortion and overdrive very well. Don't let the 14k reading fool you it not an obnoxiously loud pickup by any means, also the 60 cycle hum barely comes through on this pickup, has to be one of the quietest single coils I've ever played. Maybe because there's less highs, and most of the single coil hum is in the higher frequencies. It does what it says, get one!

Comments about DiMarzio DP112 Pre B-1 Tele Bridge Pickup:

This is a great sounding pickup , can do Tele twang and kicks butt on hi energy also . I do wish Dimarzio would use larger gauge lead wire , hard to strip it without cutting the strands of wire .

Comments about DiMarzio DP112 Pre B-1 Tele Bridge Pickup:

I keep coming back to DiMarzio because they consistently deliver. I had a Vintage Fender neck pickup matched with a regular Fender bridge pickup on a FSR Tele. Just like the specs and reviews pointed out, get this B-1 upgrade. Soldering is such sweet fun. Now, the two pickups are balanced in output when the switch is in the middle position. There is no 60 cycle hum either. If you're in a situation like this, try the B-1 too.
