As with all string winders I have tried, the peg winder itself felt loose. The handle was a little longer than most which I really liked and the bridge pin puller worked nicely. If only you could tighten a screw to make the winder more sturdy, this would be an excellent tool. I usually prefer the D'Andrea winder but it was on backorder. I have a zap-it for my electric screw driver and just use the manual ones as a back-up for my gig bag so this was definetly worth the price. Let's see how long it lasts??

Seems to be well made, but the part that makes contact with the peg is poorly designed...while using the tool it is very easy to allow it to get crooked, coming into contact with the headstock and scratching it.
Especially bad is the the small notch or "peg puller": It has sharp corners that really can cause some pretty nasty scratches.
I am going to have to modify mine with a dremel tool so it won't scratch my guitars again...not sure what to do about the scratches that are already there though...

It does what it's supposed to do. It turns your tuning pegs to make quick work of string changes. It's well built, handy and sturdy with a steel rod to last years. I'll be getting one more to keep on hand on the road.

Comments about Dunlop Roadpro Guitar String Winder:
The steel axle on this winder makes it winner for me. I've broken so many cheap plastic winders in the past I can't begin to count them all. Finally here's a product that should last without breaking. I found it easy to use as a winder and bridge pin puller. No negative issues. Couldn't be happier.

Comments about Dunlop Roadpro Guitar String Winder:
I bought two and they are identical.....which means they have some quality control in place. They are well-made and do the job. They have a couple sharp edges on the pin puller so you need to be careful not to scratch the finish on your instrument when using it. Overall, this is a great product for a good price and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who strings a guitar.

Comments about Dunlop Roadpro Guitar String Winder:
This is the most solid String winder that i have tried.. most of them feel like they are going to fall apart. That is not the case with this one.. the pin in the pivot point is a nice fit.. not at all sloppy in operation and feel. I love it ,, in fact will be ordering a few more to have on hand.. have a feeling someone will try and claim this one sooner or later.

Comments about Dunlop Roadpro Guitar String Winder:
I haven't had occasion to use it yet but it's degrees more sturdy than ones I've used before with a bigger more easily gripped handle. I'm convinced it'll be much easier to use. If I had used it and it works as good as I expect I would have given it 5 stars but I had to stick at 4 for a visual review only.

Comments about Dunlop Roadpro Guitar String Winder:
I used to change my strings by hand and it got very tiring winding 6 string handles. I got this and changed from night to day. It is made of sturdy plastic and even has a pin puller for acoustics. This winder is a great tool and I highly reccomend it.
