Comments about Ernie Ball 2220 Power Slinky Nickel Round Wound Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack:
This strings are great if you are a heavy handed player. The thing whith these strings is that you shouldn't switch to these if you play with 9s you might say they are hard to bend...of course, but you can tune them to half step or lower so that they easyer to bend. you can really abuse these strings...really... they won't break even, in standard tuning. If you play in the style of slash or something like that, then these strings are the ones for you.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2220 Power Slinky Nickel Round Wound Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack:
I have to say that the power slinky's are my favorite to date. I added them to my Ibanez Gio to beef up my sound. (I play rock and blues). They have a great sound clean or dirty. I am purchasing a American strata-caster guitar and will be putting these strings on that one as well. I play 3-4 hours a day and these strings last. Worth the money.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2220 Power Slinky Nickel Round Wound Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack:
I love these strings, no real bells and whistles; just good heavy strings that sound great and last! They're great for drop tuning and keeping a good clear sound with a bit more of a heavy bottom end. I really don't recomend using them with any kind of tremelo set up though because they really do generate a lot of tension.
Comments about Ernie Ball 2220 Power Slinky Nickel Round Wound Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack:
As the name implies, these Power Slinky strings are for those players who like a thicker sound with more bite, but they don't quite cut it for heavy/death metal. They offer a good classic rock sound like that of Boston or Kansas. I like them for their power in rhythms, but not for lead. They can be difficult to bend and play fast on.I would recommend this to a rhythm player who wants just a bit more of a growl.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2220 Power Slinky Nickel Round Wound Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack:
These .011 - .048 Power Slinkys are the best strings that I have found. I use them on my ES335, my Les Paul 58 Reissue, and on all of my strats. They deliver a nice tone that is not too bright. They last and I never break a string.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2220 Power Slinky Nickel Round Wound Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack:
I have been using EB strings for the last 20 years. Have worked up from extra slinky to power slinky. They have a great feel... low break rate and balanced tone. I have had no problems with all except the power slinky set. Problem I have is the high e string seems to like to unwind on me at the ball end. It has happened on brand new strings during the stretching process and it has happened on sets that have been on the guitar for a few weeks. If not for this problem this would have been a 5 star review.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2220 Power Slinky Nickel Round Wound Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack:
I have tried many other types of strings and I have found that the Ernie Ball Power Slinky strings are the best for how I play. I found these after I started experimenting with heavier stings. I first came across the set that has a wound third string. That sting seemed to snap really really easy. so I did some research and found that they make this set with a solid third (G) string. No more string breaking going on now. They last a long time if you use a string conditioner and wipe your stings after every use. great durable awesome sounding strings.

I have been playing guitar for over 15 years and have never found a better more consistent quality of strings than these. These strings have the best sound of any guitar string out there. They are amazing for the price and I wouldn't be caught on tour without them! Quality ever time guys! Ernie Ball is the only way to go! The sound cannot be matched! 5 Stars all the way!!!!

Comments about Ernie Ball 2220 Power Slinky Nickel Round Wound Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack:
I've been a big fan of Ernie Ball's Regular Slinky 10 gauge electric strings for nearly a decade. I recently joined a cover band that'll have a few slide songs in the setlist so I decided to set my Les Paul up for slide. That meant finding a set of somewhat beefier strings. I was placing my annual bulk-order of the Lime Green Regular Slinkies anyway so I thought I'd tack on a 3-pack of these too. I've had them on the LP for about a week and so far I think they sound great. A little brighter and louder than the 10s I use for general playing, but that's what I was looking for anyway. So yeah, I'm sure they'd be excellent for just regular standard playing too but so far I've used 'em for slide and may very well have found my go-to slide string.
