These knobs look and feel great but the ones I took off my p-bass had flat head set screws so I could use any small flat head screw drive to turn them. These have Allen screws and you need the right Allen wrench to turn them. I eventually found one but for about two cents they could have included on in the kit. I now have a very cool MiM P-Bass, Lake Placid blue, green pearl pick-guard, DR Black Beauty strings, black knobs, black saddles and black thumb rest.

Well, these fit the posts of my US spec CTS/Fender pots, but they are oversized for that use. They lock on to the post with a set screw, so they do hold tight so they don't fall off, but since the hole for the shaft is oversized, by the time the set screw is turned in enough to clamp them on good, the knobs then have an eccentric wobble to them when you turn them.

Note: I am 100% sure my pots are Fender US spec, it said so on the packaging when I bought the pots, and I have some metric spec knobs on-hand, and they are too small to fit the US spec pots (which is why I was ordering these).

So, I'm not sure what they were designed to fit (does someone makes bigger pot shafts than US Spec CTS/Fender?), but I'm a bit disappointed. They look good and function weill, so i'll keep them, but I would not buy them again.

These knobs are well-made and of high quality. And they look great.

If you'd like have something different from a wide, plastic, '1 thru 10' knob (the kind that look like a control panel dial from a 50s movie spaceship), check these out. Make sure you have a 5/64 hex key (easy to get). It's a nice look; they're metal with a nice finish.

I have an ESP Ltd Viper 1000, which I upgraded the pots to CTS brass smooth shaft pots. It previously had some cheap Alpha pots that had smaller shafts. So, I needed replacements for these USA CTS pots with larger brass shafts. I use Ernie Ball strings on all my guitars, and trust their quality above all others. When I seen these, I had to purchase them. These knobs are very high quality and light weight. Beautiful glossy black and a great knurl pattern. Plus, they are made in the US. Awesome.

Ernie Ball Aluminum Tele Knobs - WOW!

Comments about Ernie Ball Aluminum Tele Knobs 2-Pack:

These are very high-quality knobs. They are precision machined from a single section of aluminum rod, and then given a matte black annodize treatment. The cut of the knurling on the side of the knob makes it particularly grippy, without feeling too "toothy" like some coarse-knurled knobs available from other makers. The cut gives the knob the same sticky feel as if it had a soft rubber liner around the knob, but it won't wear or crack like rubber. It's perfect for "violining" with the little finger as you pick or strum the strings. No slippage and super-positive control. If these were available in silver too--that would be HUGE and I'd order more.

Comments about Ernie Ball Aluminum Tele Knobs 2-Pack:

This is my knob of choice for my guitars- PRS solid body, Steinberger, Epi Regent. It has a clean, simple, high quality look. Hint- I drill a shallow dimple on the top edge with a 1/4-inch drill so I can see and feel where the knob is dialed. It looks cool.
Nicely machined. The allen set screw makes it solid and reliable.

I bought two packs of these to put on my MIM strat. My first impression out of the package was they felt a little bit cheap. After installing and using for a little bit they grew on me. They don't scratch easily and are great for upgrade or replacement.
