A heavy-duty single-ply head for powerful beats, focused rolls and rock accents.
Producing a warm, rich sound with controlled sustain, the Evans EC1 is a durable 14-mil single-ply head with the Edge Control ring mounted on the underside to eliminate mid-range frequencies and enhance attack. A 3-mil patch on the Reverse Dot model lends additional focus in the center for fat backbeats.
In addition to a sensitive and sturdy snare side head, we'll throw in a pair of versatile 5A Pro-Mark sticks to complete your updated snare sound. These sticks are suitable for orchestral pit work to light rock.

Comments about Evans EC Reverse Dot Snare Batter and Snare Side Head Pack with Free Pair of Pro-Mark Sticks:
As a lover of the snare drums (25 years I've been collecting them), I love experimenting with shells, snare wires and snare heads.
To the sounds of rock (of the 70 and 80) I use deep snare drums with sound control center (in different brands and finishes).
I bought the Evans EC reverse dot snare and first I impressed his circle central metal and opaque color. After it I tried on a Ludwig Supraphonic (Ludalloy), one Tama Artstar (Brass), one Yamaha Loud Custom Series (Oak),one Sonor Phonic Plus (Beech) and another vintage snare drums.... this Evans sounds produced were extremely dirty, metallic and dissonant, with unbearable harmonics in the rim-shots.
It´s not versatile: it should tighten enough to achieve a decent sound.... Only suitable for "very, very spicy sounds".
