Comments about Gator G-MIX-L Lightweight Mixer or Equipment Case:
Overall, very good product. My only complain is the lack of a thicker/safer material in the cover. The sides are fine, thick and reliable foam, but the cover is made of nylon only. I would give it a 5 stars if the heavy-duty foam were available in both sides and cover.
Comments about Gator G-MIX-L Lightweight Mixer or Equipment Case:
I purchased this as protection for a Peavey XR1212P powered mixer. Because the construction quality, design, and utility for this case are so poor, as well as bad experiences with other Gator products, I would not recommend any product made by Gator to anyone. [I had one of their hardshell guitar cases fall apart in less than four months]. I advise people to take the measurements for the mixer they wish to buy a case for, and then shop to see what other makes and sizes of cases may be available.
First off, the G-Mix-L has no external pockets for cables, accessories per se. There is a pouch which attaches to the case with plastic clips, but is so big it's like a clip-on tote bag.
Another problems is that this comes in a limited range of sizes which do not provide a snug fit for all mixers.
Although it has "rigid" sides, the front and back offer minimal protection since there is no padding in those panels.
Finally, although the case is advertised as being "lightweight," it isn't. The case itself probably adds another 10-15 pounds to the weight of the mixer.
The shell material is only 600-denier nylon. For the prices being charged, it should be 1200 denier, which is almost like canvas and affords a higher level of protection.
Having had problems with poor quality construction/materials in other Gator products, I am not surprised.
Because of the lack of compatibility with any given size of Mixer, as well as the fact that there are other cases available which provide superior protection at less cost, this is a poor value.

Comments about Gator G-MIX-L Lightweight Mixer or Equipment Case:
Since Hammond does not make a case or bag for their XPK-100 MIDI Pedals, then one does not have to look further for protection and transport needs for a single octave ensemble. This case fits the Bass Pedals from Hammond perfectly. This case is ideal for the 13 note pedal board. I was pleased with the high quality, ease of fitting the pedals into the case, and it is very affordable. Money well invested!

Comments about Gator G-MIX-L Lightweight Mixer or Equipment Case:
I returned two hard cases, because MF has the wrong size listed for them. I exchanged for this light weight case it seems to be well constructed, I think it will be fine.

Comments about Gator G-MIX-L Lightweight Mixer or Equipment Case:
This is great for mixers. I have an Allen and Heath in this and no problems being loaded in with all other equipment. The foam is strong, zippers great and the covering does not rip I have had it for 1.5 years, no probs. I am buying another one for a Mackie DL1608 and I saw the negative review about Gator. I toured France a few years ago with a Gator guitar flight case and a few Gator rack cases. No problems.
Recently there was a latch broke on that flight case by another piece of equipment, out of warranty. I called Gator expecting to pay for a new latch. Great customer service. Sent two new latches completely free of any charges. I did not even have to ask. I have 7 Gator cases and the band probably has that many more. No problems, great cases, especially for the prices.
