I own three of these cases, and am generally very happy with them. They are sturdy, look nice, and protect discs well. You can tell they are hand built as the alignment of the hinges on the lids and case are exclusive, making swapping lids rather impossible. No biggy, just set 'em off in order. The end bays are a little tight to get all 25 discs in, but you can squeeze a slimline case in with 24 standard cases with no problem. I would buy another case if need be.
Nothing actually wrong with these units, aside from slight variation from one box to the next (One lid may not fit another box). Generally reasonable quality and value.
These cases are great quality and it all depends on how you choose to use the space. Try gel pack or plastic sleeves to get the most for your buck.Madd
If you're looking for something high-end, don't buy this. If not, then you might consider this. I bought a couple of these (I actually need another, and will buy this one again), and I wasn't too disappointed. The workmanship is so-so, the materials are fairly sturdy, and it works. So that's fine by me.I was upgrading from an assortment of old cardboard boxes, so it was definitely worth dropping some money, and will make moving around (which I do alot) easier. It functions like it should, more or less - it holds CDs.But it's not great. There are four rows, and the two on the outside are hard to get CDs into - they barely fit, and at points where there are bolts in the side, there are little indentations in the inside of the case that make it hard to get a CD in that particular spot - and possibly dangerous to the CD. But if you're willing to risk a cracked jewel case every now and then, and you can deal with something that looks nice but is sometimes a bit shoddy, go with this - it's a great deal.
