Comments about GigSkinz 88-Key Keyboard Bag with Wheels:
Yeah, it looks flashy, but it does not serve its purpose - protecting your keyboard. To corrupt an old adage, don't judge a gig-bag by its flashy looks. If Musicians Friend is committed to selling quality products (i.e. high value-to-price ratio), I would recommend they discontinue selling this product. SKB and Gator, IMO, make the best wheeled cases and I highly recommend those.
I bought the 76-key GigSkinz with wheels. While it was helpful to have three large front pockets, a front flat pocket, a back flat pocket and wheels, thats where the features end. The case offers absolutely no protection unless you're using it for nothing more than keeping your keyboard in the closet or under your bed.
Puh-leese... Only two months into using the case, one of the zippers broke, and the inside lining actually started detaching from the shell. To make matters worse, the black furry lining would leave a black residue on the keyboard, to the extent that I needed to use a keyboard cover for whenever I used the case! I mean, come on guys, using a material that sheds??
Then, after only a short time using the case, the solid walls which provide the structure protect the keyboard started breaking. It was actually cracking so it wold be a few separate pieces holding the back together, and the case would actually bend. With all the cracks in the back, it was so flimsy that when I would lag the keyboard in its case, it wass the keyboard which was supporting the case!
For a punk-rock musician who cares about looks far more than protecting his keyboard, this will do fine. Otherwise, you're flushing a lot of money (these cases are expensive!) down the toilet for four thin plastic walls around the expensive keyboard which you carry around. You're getting nothing but good looks and plenty of pockets for your money.
