Direct fit and bass sounds great. Did have to sand a small casting piece on the bottom the size of a grain of salt, but fit in the slot great.
A little more than the other, but worth it.

This nut could not be easier to use. All string slots are pre-slotted saving time and work. All I had to do was knock my old nut out and glue this one in. It was the perfect size and height.

I broke the stock nut on my bass while playing Rocksmith, so i coughed the money for this little piece after shopping on MF for a few hours. The packaging was a pain to get it out of, but greatly appreciated because of how well packed the nut was. Once i had it installed I was greatly disappointed to find that the E string slot did not fit my new Ernie Ball Bass Cobalt Slinky Strings (80 - 105 gauge)However after a little bit of filing and final setting i found that the sound was A LOT better, and the piece sat at an almost perfect height.
