For the money, these are very good quality earplugs. My only complaint is the plastic carrying case does not close securely. Although the case is convenient for keeping your earplugs clean, it easily comes open in your pocket or if using the attached key ring. DO NOT attach to your keychain or you will lose these. Otherwise a great product and great service from MF as always.

I will say that Musician's Friend customer service is trying to help, but they continue to send the wrong item. SKU #421210000000000 is called Rock n Roll Ear filters. They are supposed to be white and tapered with ridges like in the picture from the product page (not like the photo in this review). They are also listed as 26db. The ones that arrive could not be more different. They are 22db, black rubber that is not tapered with ridges. They fit completely different. The other funny thing is the item photo provided by Musician's Friend for this review is another set of ear plugs that does not match the product item number. Now we have 3 different photos. This is getting silly. Customer service keeps saying it is a warehouse item number error, but it keeps happening. Look at other reviews and other people are having the same issue. Please Musician's Friend, send me the correct ear plugs. I am still waiting....... Thanks.

Comments about Hearos Rock 'n Roll Ear Filters:
I like using Hearos with other players at practice and gigs. They allow me to hear all the music and I don't feel that noise is over bearing. Talking in a normal volume is no problem during conversations. These should keep my hearing from any damage.

Comments about Hearos Rock 'n Roll Ear Filters:
I ordered them, but the 22 NRR version arrived. I prefer the NRR 26 version because they fit better in my ears. I called to explain the shipping error. After I helped the clerk understand that the 22 NRR and the 26 NRR have the same name but different inventory numbers, he graciously said he'd send me 2 pair of NRR 26 for free. Unfortunately, when they arrived they were NRR 22. So, now I have none of what I ordered and a lot of what I didn't. I'm tired of calling MF so I'm writing this review.
Comments about Hearos Rock 'n Roll Ear Filters:
Just received and I wish I had not. What a piece of junk! Neither of the inserters stayed connected. Had to get someone to pull them out of my ears with tweezers. Should have went to Home Depot and bought earplugs there. NEVER AGAIN.
Comments about Hearos Rock 'n Roll Ear Filters:
The Hearos Rock N' Roll Ear Filters work great for me. I play electric guitar in a church band with a very loud drummer. These earplugs lower the overall volume of sound without muffling. I can still clearly hear my guitar and the other instruments. These ear filters are identical to Clear Audio Ear Filters for drummers, except these are neutral colored and the others are bright orange. I will definitely buy these again.
Comments about Hearos Rock 'n Roll Ear Filters:
No more need to wait for foam earplugs to fill out - good stuff.
Comments about Hearos Rock 'n Roll Ear Filters:
If your ear canal is unusually large, like mine, these plugs will not give you the maximum protection! I found this out the hard way with these and other similar plugs and I now suffer from permanent hearing loss and tinnitus.
Comments about Hearos Rock 'n Roll Ear Filters:
don't really stay in that well for me, or work that well for me. It's kind of a preference thing i guess, but hearos foam ones work a whole lot better for me.
Comments about Hearos Rock 'n Roll Ear Filters:
Hearos Rock 'n Roll Ear Filters (NNR 26)At Metal gigs - Allows you to hear the various instruments when the volume has been raised so much that everything is noise. Allows you to hear what people are saying [shouting] to you even when they themselves can't hear what people are trying to say to them. I noticed this at a bar, the barmaid and customers couldn't hear what they were saying to one another but I could hear their conversation. If we lost our hearing we would pay a lot more than the cost of ear filters to get it back.
Comments about Hearos Rock 'n Roll Ear Filters:
I have smaller ear canals I guess, but these fit much more comfortably than the ribbed ones and do the job without the pain. They last forever, but can get lost. Music stores don't carry them, so I'm grateful you do. If you play above 90db - wear ear protection! The adjustment is weird, but hearing loss is permanent.
Comments about Hearos Rock 'n Roll Ear Filters:
I've been a singer in several rock bands. Since I can't afford in-ear monitors quite yet, I figured I'd give these a try. Unfortunately, the 26 filter is so GOOD that I can't hear the music very well over the sound of my own voice resonating in my head. That's actually a good thing though if you're not a singer. But if you are, I'd suggest finding headphones that offer a less intense filter (perhaps a 9 or 15 dB filter). They fit pretty well though, but I really have to push them in far. It's great that they're cleanable too.
