Comments about Hipshot HB6C-1/2 Bass Tuning Machine Set:

These tuners are definitely worth the money. Right when you take them out of the packaging, you know they are good quality, despite the low weight. One thing I do not like that I had to do is that fact that I had to manually change two of the tuners to the treble side as I was using these on my Gibson SG headstock which is configured for 2x2 machines. Other than that, they work perfect, they are fluid, and my bass never goes out of tune. I still tune it every time I play just because I'm a perfectionist... but I do not have to. I highly recommend this product. Thank you MM for helping me through the grueling warranty process.

Comments about Hipshot HB6C-1/2 Bass Tuning Machine Set:

I put these on a Squire VM jaguar SS bass. The bass was moderately head heavy, which I really dislike. These tuners took 5-6 ounces off the headstock and the bass balances nicely now. They are not a direct replacement- I had to drill new holes for the mounting tab and the old holes show, but the change is totally worth it. They look good and work very well.

Comments about Hipshot HB6C-1/2 Bass Tuning Machine Set:

The fit and finish of these are very nice. I am disappointed in the length of the shaft and the amount of the tuner that actually shows above the headstock. They seem quite short. They do hold tune very well, however, for the money I think I still prefer Schaller's or the generic, elephant ear tuners that are sold by a certain luthier supply company out of Ohio. I could not tell any difference in the weight between these and the stock, Squier tuners that came on my bass. I feel the Hipshots are overpriced for what they are. I really had much higher hopes for them after all the buzz I had heard .

replaced the machines on 3 different basses and the results are the same. My shoulder feels better and tuning is easier and more precise.

Comments about Hipshot HB6C-1/2 Bass Tuning Machine Set:

These were supposed to fit an Ibanez 5-string acoustic electric bass. The diameter of the tuner is 5/8 inch, but the exiting holes are 1/2 inch.
