Comments about Martin MSP7000 SP Lifespan Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

brings more depth and clarity to the BASS strings, the treble strings are clearer and purer
more like a Martin or a Taylor. [ i've played comparing them at Guitar Center and Sam Ash. ]

Comments about Martin MSP7000 SP Lifespan Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Having re-strung my recently purchased Seagull Maritime SWS acoustic with that competitor's well-known "coated" strings, and finding them like playing bridge cables, decided to try these. As an electric guitarist primarily, I don't like to fight an instrument when I play, and use an acoustic sparingly. So a lighter gauge was needed from the lights I had. I was nothing short of amazed at how good my guitar sounded, and how "friendly" it was to play with these strings. Tone and projection were much better, again to my surprise, even going down in string gauge. It almost seemed like a different guitar. I'm very pleased with these strings.

Put these on my niece's Yamaha. She was shocked at how much nicer it sounded and the 10 ga have made it much easier playing for her. Great for an entry level guitar and player

Comments about Martin MSP7000 SP Lifespan Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I have tried using the normal Martin strings (I guess they are medium strings), but they really do a number on my fingers. I don't play acoustic on a regular basis, so it is difficult to keep my fingers in "acoustic" shape. The Martin SP Lifespan Extra Light Strings seem to be the perfect compromise. I haven't tested their long life claim, but have no reason to doubt they will last long enough under normal use.

Purchased to replace a set of old, heavy gauge, tarnished strings.Brought the sound back to life, very clean bright sound. Love the light weight strings.

There are a lot of strings out there and I have tried, not all of them but most and I've gotta tell ya, these are by far the best I have ever tried. After I installed them and tuning my guitar, I went to playing my guitar and brother I must say I couldn't believe what I was hearing! Total awesomeness! You gotta try some.

Comments about Martin MSP7000 SP Lifespan Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I've tried many string gauges and brands. For me the 10 gauge Martin Lifespan is best. I play fingerstyle so I opted for the 10 gauge which is very comfortable to play. The 12s have a slightly better tone but the 10s suit my style better. I put the 12s on an old Fender acoustic and it came alive. I recommend them highly.

Besides the "feel" of these strings, what I particularly like is the tone they produce. I haven't found another string that satisfies my ear the way these strings do.
