I don't know why people are complaining about this music stand. It is wonderful. Yeah, there are a few plastic parts, but no more than ANY other stand. And construction was a breeze. PIECE OF CAKE. It took a minute and a half to construct. BUY THIS STAND! Excellent price!!
For the price...there is NO comparison. The 2 screws did take awhile to understand, especially with no directions. But it's so solid and again for the price...find me a better value????
I bought 5 of these stands for use in my studio and they work fine for that purpose. I wouldn't attempt to take them out on the road because I don't believe they were designed for that but I knew that going in. For the price, they are GREAT stands as long as you use them in one spot!
I bought five for the church; put them together quickly and with no problems other than two loose rivets - fixed THAT quickly with a hammer and a punch. Turned them over to our brass quintet and singers and NO ONE has had any problems figuring them out. They hold up to all of the abuse from the kids (and us adults) as well or better than any of the more expensive models I've used. The people who use these music stands really like them. I've only got two professional musicians in the congregation, and both of them thought I paid A LOT more than I did; There is no better value music stand on the market.
I've had this stand for a couple of years and I just love it.Initially I was a little concerned with all the loosening and retightening to get this thing to compact and then expand again. But I haven't had one problem with it at all. It's very sturdy, very convenient and with this sale I'm buying 2 more for my kids!I can tell you that won't be sorry because I'm not sorry at all! I'm glad I have it!
I'm a little disappointed in this music stand. The desk is pretty small, smaller than a standard Manhassett stand. I don't like how the desk attaches to the pole - two screws. You have to loosen one to adjust the angle of the desk. It didn't come with a tote bag, which is a bummer. Why have a folding stand if you don't have a bag to put it in? I will say the stand is heavy, which is good and bad, I suppose. Have to wait and see if the stand tightening mechanism holds up.
What's not to like? A solid, inexpensive place to set up music books and chord print outs. One sturdy mother monkey!
I bought two of these stands and both of them broke at the top just after the 45 day period at the same place. I have been very dissatisfied. I thought it would be just as good as a comparable stand but the quality looks good, but it can't withstand wear and tear like the metal stands.
