I give this cable an overall rating of 7, because to me that is satisfactory, and this cable is satisfactory. Nothing more, nothing less.
This cable does what it should, and is an adequate price, compared to other overpriced cables.
Seems to be good & sturdy. I don't plan on stepping on it, winding it tight, pulling it by the cord, or anything else that would also destroy any other overpriced cable, so therefore, there isn't much for there to go wrong. The only thing I noticed is that the plug seemed a little tight when first plugging into my amp output jack, but after plugging and unplugging a few times, it seemed to be better.
Good price, what any speaker cable should cost. Personally, I feel that gold plating, or any other frill is a waste of money that will not result in any noticeable sound difference.

I'm going to cut off the jacks and replace them. Cables are good, jacks bad. I guess in china they measure differently. Not buying anymore of these.

Comments about Musician's Gear 16-Gauge Speaker Cable:
I am using these to daisy chain PA Speakers, but they are very nice and the price is right, so I am planning to order more to replace the older cables I have between my guitar and bass amps and their speaker cabs.

Comments about Musician's Gear 16-Gauge Speaker Cable:
I have bought these cables in the past without an issue but I recently bought 2 of the 6 foot size cables for my cabinets. Upon arrival I tried to hook them up but the cable end is too short. It is literally 1/8" too short and will not go far enough into the female jack to snap into place. Manufacturing 101 is at least to make the item to standard specs! Simply testing these cables before shipping them from China would have prevented this issue!

i got this and it wasnt the ruber>metal cable advertised it was ruber to plastic to metal and they dont fit standard instrument jacks

Comments about Musician's Gear 16-Gauge Speaker Cable:
These are fine for the price, but the actual TS jacks on them are not great. If I compare there agaist my normal instrument cables, they are just slightly shorts (ie 1-2mm) so they do not lock into the jack of either my orange cabinet or my amp securly. Since I just use them for practice it is not a problem, but they could come disconnected if they see any movement.

Comments about Musician's Gear 16-Gauge Speaker Cable:
I purchased these based solely on price. I have been pleasantly impressed with the quality of other "house" brands of cables so I decided to buy these speaker cables.
The 16ga cable is decent enough, very flexible and sturdy feeling. The 1/4" male ends are the weak link. First, they are horribly cheap and bend easily. Worst of all, the length of the tip extending from the connector body was too short to be secured into my speaker cabinet or back of my amp. The connector body is oversized and beefy looking, but upon closer examination has a very cheap feel and easily comes unscrewed.
I ended up getting frustrated and cut off the cable ends with the plan of putting on my own male ends.
Dont waste your money - you pay for what you get is the lesson here.
Comments about Musician's Gear 16-Gauge Speaker Cable:
Spend the money and buy better speaker cables from MF.
Disappointed that the product looks different than the photo. Specifically the phono jacks are large, heavy, and cumbersome. In addition, they unscrew themselves all the time. After one day of ownership I decided that they were not for me.
As mentioned, the phono jacks were not of any great quality (In my opinion).
Probably an OK value for the cheap selling price. I just didn't the feel and as mentioned I struggled with the phono jacks constantly unscrewing themselves.
Comments about Musician's Gear 16-Gauge Speaker Cable:
I love a hefty, large plug at the end of a beefy speaker cable and one that should it need re-soldering, can be easily done without fighting a tiny, thin, impossible, flimsy terminal. These are working for me. It may be that they have upgraded from previous plugs because these look bigger than the pic.
I am using two of these 16 gauge speaker cables 3' length to go from my Peavey Revolution head to my stereo speaker cabinet and so far they are working fine. The 1/4 inch phone plugs are heavy duty and unlike the photo have additional length compared to the standard type and unscrew in two places. Be advised that the total length at 3' is including the plugs themselves so they look shorter than 3' as far as the cable is concerned. At first glance upon receiving them I was concerned that they might not reach the connections to my cab while the head sat on top but they reach fine.
I am very careful with my cables and most of them have been lasting a long time. These appear to be fine and a great deal.
At this price it is worth a try but if you use your cables to lasso audience members or something maybe get the lifetime guarantee type. Mine just have to go from my amp to my speaker and store safely until the next gig. How you roll them up matters too. Hold one end of a longer cable and loosely coil it up in one direction and tie with a velcro tie. Don't ever subject it to tight back and forth bending or you will go through cables in a hurry.
