One of the main reasons I got this was to have some small string cutters in my gig case. The first time I tried to use it to cut strings, not only did it not cut but the metal just mushed like butter around a .10 gauge E string! I guess its not a bad buy for the flash light and other tools but I was really disappointed.
Generally speaking, almost everything works. What I really wanted it for was to be able to have a string cutter for my guitar strings when I change them. The cutters aren't good at all. They can cut the lower bass strings, but the two thinnest get stuck inbetween the cutter. Other then that, it works, but nothing for what someone would probably want to use it for.
This thing is helpful, gets the job done, but I'd only use it as a last resort. The flashlight is cool, although I'm not sure what you could use it for on a guitar. The screwdrivers are ok, except you really don't have a comfy grip and takes forever to unscrew something. If you want to use this to cut the extra strings at your headstock I'd say use something else, unless you wouldn't mind having 1/2 and inch hanging out of the tuners. It can also get really tricky and hard to cut the strings while having other strings around. It's usable, not the easiest to use. It's tiny, well built. It's alright for the money, I guess, still I wouldn't use it.
