(Open Box) Superior drop-in replacement saddles for Floyd Rose Original and Licensed bridges.

String Saver Classic Floyd Rose Saddles are superior drop-in replacement saddles for Floyd Rose Original and licensed bridges.

How do they work?
A string resting on a metal saddle binds and locks the string in place. As the string vibrates, it stresses the string on a very specific point producing metal fatigue and then string breakage. Each String Saver saddle is impregnated with Teflon, the slipperiest substance on earth. The Teflon in String Savers eases the grip between the saddle and string, spreading the stress over a greater portion of the string, just enough to drastically reduce string breakage. Teflon is 500% more slippery than graphite and is impregnated throughout the String Saver material, so its lubricating properties will never wear out. For string breakage reduction the difference is dramatic. Strings that last and last, no matter how hard you play&hellipGraph Tech guarantees it!

What do they sound like?
Metal saddles have a pronounced 2kHz treble spike that dominates the tonal spectrum. String Saver Originals have a more balanced tone, with highs, mids and big open lows. You will also notice an increase in sustain by up to 25% over brass saddles and 15% over steel.

Reduces string breakage
Increases sustain
Improves midrange depth
Super lubricating
Improves tuning
Corrosion resistant
Inspires confidence
Includes Allen key

Improve your sound and break fewer strings!

Comments about Graph Tech String Saver Classic Floyd Rose Saddles (Set of 6):

Great Product.Very well made.Probably better than the Original Floyd Saddles on my guitar but...If you will only going to switch saddles, they will do the trick very well.If you are concern about tone and want to do a correct tuning and intonation then you will have problems. The String Saver Saddles are larger than the Original Floyd saddles wich means that you will not be able to go backward as much as with the original ones if you need to do so to find the right intonation hole. The bigger, larger String Saver Saddle will hit the Floyd Rose's tail preventing you to correct intonate your guitar.I did email them with my problem. They answered very fast giving me only two options:Making it shorter with a grinder or to return the saddles.

Not so

Comments about Graph Tech String Saver Classic Floyd Rose Saddles (Set of 6):

The graph tech part is amazing and superior and all that, but like many misguided american companies, they contracted the steel part of the saddles out to china. What you are left with is ill-fitting, splayed, hard to intonate saddles with a tiny piece of silicone graphite or whatever stuck in the top. This part works quite well as advertized, but you must grind off the chrome between the saddles to get them to fit. So, yeah, once again a little chinese engineering goes a long way to making the whole nearly worthless. Overpriced and ill-designed.

Pretty Good.

Comments about Graph Tech String Saver Classic Floyd Rose Saddles (Set of 6):

Installed a set of these on an old BC Rich Warlock NJ, due to a saddle breaking on the cheapo pot-metal licensed bridge (pretty common problem). Haven't had a problem with these yet. I've had the same set of strings on now for about 4 months, with no breaks (I'm not a big whammy bar guy, but I do use it occasionally).Keep in mind that these do slightly change the tone of your guitar. I've found that the guitar sounds smoother without that "spike" when you pluck a string. So if you like that little extra nasty from the 2000khz string bite, then I don't recommend them.My first complaint: these do not work with the shorter block screws that came with my licensed bridge. I had to use the longer screws that came with the saddles, and they hit the top of the guitar if I lift on the trem too much. No big deal for a battle worn instrument. My second complaint: for what 2 sets of these cost, you could have a Floyd Rose Original.

Graph Tech String Saver Saddle for Floyd Rose - junk

Comments about Graph Tech String Saver Classic Floyd Rose Saddles (Set of 6):

The first set of these showed up with two of the string saver inserts missing from the saddles. The delay was irritating, and required a nuisance trip to the UPS store, but Musician's Friend was prompt & friendly in handling the swap. The second set showed up with all the parts in good order. I installed them and found that they are different enough in design from the original Floyd saddles that you have to push them back quite a bit farther than the originals to get the string contact point in the original location for proper intonation. Turns out, the Graph tech saddles are also longer. When you push them back into a range that allows for four of the strings to reach proper intonation, they are mashed against the tail riser of the Floyd Rose, rendering the fine tuners inoperable. With two of the strings, the Graph Tech saddles simply will not go rearward far enough to allow for correct intonation. So altogether, they are by design incapable of allowing for proper intonation without relocating the entire bridge rearward, which is not feasible on the guitar I was trying to use them on (ESP Horizon E-II). Now I have to re-install the original saddles, including the buzzy one I was trying to correct, and also make another call to MF for a return authorization, and another nuisance trip to UPS to return them. I have very scarce time for such projects and I do not appreciate having it wasted with carelessly engineered parts. I'm generally not one to leave negative products reviews for minor issues, but this is a glaringly obvious, inexcusable design flaw by Graph Tech, on a product for which they are charging a very premium price. Bad showing, Graph Tech. If you folks can't do your job any better than this then you should consider another trade.

Removed the Bite from my Guitar -

Comments about Graph Tech String Saver Classic Floyd Rose Saddles (Set of 6):

Upon fitting my guitar with these, I had this huge impression that my guitar had had its teeth removed or "gummed". The feeling playing the strings, however, was... strange NOT unpleasant. Perhaps even better than normal.

Bottom line, I think these could do well for Blues or Rock - But not METAL.

That all satisfying metal "bite" from the guitar is what makes hitting the strings so satisfying tone and sound wise for me, so these had to go.
