Comments about Proline PL400 Double X-Braced Keyboard Stand:
I play my Roland Fantom X8 a lot at home, and I have gigged occasionally with it at coffee houses and small venues. Granted that the Roland is a heavy sucker, this thing just gave out at my last gig. The screw was stripped that holds the locking mechanism, and my keyboard went a-tumbling down to the ground and now 4 keys are snapped and my speaker outputs are damaged, with sound and fuzz only coming out the left side. Luckily there are 4 outputs on the Roland. So that's my story. Now I need a new keyboard (or repairs that cost more than one off ebay) and a new BETTER stand. It was great until then, but I guess I cannot rely on these anymore. I'll be going with a non-X stand next time. I have never used one that doesn't sway or is comfortable to play on.

Comments about Proline PL400 Double X-Braced Keyboard Stand:
It's a well made stand in many respects but the end caps fall out ALL THE TIME and the plastic they are made out of should be about twice as thick IMHO. In fact the stand I recently purchased (my second one) was missing two end caps when it arrived so MusiciansFriend was great in helping me replace them. I finally took to squirting a little ShoeGoo or clear Silicone on the cap edges before popping them back in (have a piece of paper towel ready to wipe off excess). It seems to provide just enough adhesion to keep them in place but not so much they couldn't be removed... (for what reason I'm not sure). However, both the single and double tier stands are very nice and strong enough for a medium load of bricks ;-)

Comments about Proline PL400 Double X-Braced Keyboard Stand:
Just what I was looking for in a sturdy, durable keyboard stand. Easy to set up lever takes the finger pinching out of adjustments.
Comments about Proline PL400 Double X-Braced Keyboard Stand:
This hefty stand does its job and well. I have a fully weighted 88-key keyboard and this stand doesn't move a bit. Completely solid. The only problem I found was that each setting was about 3 inches higher than the last. But thats were my Pro line Deluxe bench comes in with a wide variety of different settings to even out the difference. I would recommend this to anyone along with the Pro Line Deluxe Bench.

Bought this stand for Yamaha P-105 Digital Piano as second piano at home and for performances away. This stand was a great value for the money.
