I own one of these snare stands, and let me tell you.. it is by far the best snare stand i have ever used. i really like the ball-socket feature. i can adjust it to any angle i want, any position. the stand is also very durable, and very strong. i like having the wing-nut screws, instead of the lever ones (which is showed in the picture). but i guess they give everyone the wing-nut one's. overall, excellent product.
This snare stand is awesome! It's really sturdy and strong. It can go really low and pretty high, buy this snare stand!
I purchased this stand to make my order enough for free shipping. Boy was I surprised! what a great piece of hardware for a reasonable price. A stand is something that doesn't improve your sound so It's great that you can purchase a high quality stand for a reasonable price. It leaves you left over cash for other equipment.
I bought this stand a month ago,and I am very happy with it. I have used better, but not for under 100 dollars,so it is a really great value!!! the adjustability is really nice, but it can be a little unstable sometimes. It is really short, which I like, but if you like your snare way up,don't buy this! Overall, I really like it!
Another great Pulse hardware product! This stand is very heavy duty with super thick tubing. Mine was a little different (better) than the picture! The tripod is like a throne tripod, in which you can unfold it all the way down for maximum stability! Also, like someone else mentioned, mine had a nice wingbolt to adjust the height, rather than a "clip-lock" style, which I prefer. The ball and socket snare basket is a wonderful feature, literally infinite positioning. Also, the basket itself is removeable from the rest of the stand via two drumkey operated bolts. What a handy feature to have! This snare stand is as solid and sturdy as a rock! The only drawback I could foresee is if you like you snare high. Due to the "offset" feature of the basket, you lose a few inches of height adjustment. I play mine fairly high, and was able to get it comfortable, no problem. However that was with a 6" deep snare. With a 3" deep snare, I really maxed out it's height to get it comfortable for me, but it was still as solid as a rock! It may not be a problem for you at all, but just warrants mentioning! This is a top quality stand! You WILL NOT be disappointed!!!
I was surprised with the very good quality.Mine came with the wingnut style adjustment screws (I prefer) instead of the lever style ones shown. The universal position ball-type basket adjustment is the real kicker. To get this on a name-brand stand, you'd have to spend twice the money. I've had a Pearl snare stand and even the one with my new Tama Starclassics had the old, undesirable (to me) gear-tilter style basket adjustment (I sold it and kept the Pulse Pro). This is great for the money if you're not hung-up on the idea of having name-brand equipment.
This stand holds up to the most severe beatings. The hardware is perfect, easily adjustable and stays right where you need it.
Pulse has surprised me a couple of times now. First with a boom stand and now this snare stand. If there is a better snare stand out there for the money I'd like to see it. This thing is as solid and versatile as any I've seen or played. Maybe I should try out one of their kits? I am impressed with their hardware. I would recommend this snare stand to anyone looking for function and durability at a reasonable price.
