OVERVIEW

There's no easier capo out there!

A patented locking action provides an unrivaled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever
locks it securely in place... and removes it just as quickly.
The Shubb capo doesn't create tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand, so it doesn't pull the string off center. As a result, no retuning is necessary!
Precisely machined of brass and carefully hand assembled, a Shubb capo is manufactured without compromise. Simply holding one in your hand conveys a sense of quality. Snapping it solidly onto a banjo neck, and then removing it, all within about one second, will confirm its reputation for excellence.

I found the capo easy to use and does what it's designed to do. I play in a church orchestra, and often times our traditional hymns are written in less common keys. This capo works well for that situation when I'm symply playing rhythm and need to transpose. I play the guitar and banjo as well, and sometimes it gets difficult to keep all the respective chords straight. Also, this capo is unintrusive on the Mando. Some of the others with a "handle" get in the way of a D major chord for me. This one does not.

Use Shubbs on my guitars, wanted on for mando. Package says will fit most mandos: NOT TRUE, The swing arm is mounted too close to the top, thus for this to stay on, you have to have this incredibly tight, otherwise, the slightest nudge and it will pop loose and fall off.

Any mandolins neck is too thick for this design.

MF was good with returns, sent it back. NOT FOR MANDOS.

Comments about Shubb Original C Series Banjo Capo:

I have been using Shubb capos since I first found them in the 70's. I still have and use that first guitar capo in my D28 case. It is on it's third sleeve. I have tried a few "other" capos in the last thirty plus years but I have always returned to Shubb. Good design with quality of materials and manufacturing make for a lasting product. Thanks .. R/

You just can't beat a Shubb capo, for a banjo or a guitar.

Shubb capos are just great. I've used them for 30+ years. Never a disappointment. I bought this one to replace a banjo capo that disappeared. Thank you Mr. Shubb.

Don't waste you money. It pulls string as attacted. I will not stay on unless you clamp it down hard and that puts your string out of tune.
