I bought this stand in the ebony finish about a year ago. It was easy to assemble and the quality is excellent--solid, no cracks, blems or scratches on the finish. It is very sturdy and very easy to adjust, looks great in my home. All wood construction, no metal or plastic anywhere. Well, worth the money.

I received the stand for Christmas and while using it toppled over and the music ledge separated from the stand. I bolted it back on and then the tilt feature because very loose and would not hold a fixed position. Poor quality construction and not designed for continued use.

OK, it costs extra for the "walnut". But it's not walnut, some fine grain blandwood with what looks like a minwax fruitwood stain on it. The knob to adjust the table tilt breaks as soon as start to set it up. I sent it back.

I use this stand in my living room where I have my music center. It compliments our ebony baby grand and looks very nice next to it. It was super easy to put together and seems to be very stable. My only concern is the tilt mechanism. It wants to tilt forward all the time. I think I can take it back apart and rough up the mating surfaces to overcome this small problem.
