Comments about Standtastic 100 KSB 48 Inch Single Tier Stand with Deluxe Bag:
This is an excellent stand. I'm really happy with it. The biggest advantage is that it can be made tall enough for a tall standing keyboardist like me (6-1) to stand up and still have my forearms straight. That's something very few stands can do.
The other good thing is that delivery to the UK was a reasonable price, and was hassle-free. MFriend handle all the customs malarky for you so there's no nasty surprises (delayes, extra import fees, etc.) in store. Didn't take that long either. Took a few days for it be sent, but once it was sent it was here at my door in the UK extremely quickly. It used to be very difficult to get these stands in the UK, but now there's no reason not to just buy them from the States.
It's light but pretty stable. Packs down well. There's plenty of room for pedals on the floor. I'd say it was on a par with my K&M Spider Pro stand. They're very different stands, and I love the Spider Pro, but this is the one I'll be using for the time being for taking one keyboard out. (I'm thinking of getting a two-tier Standtastic for my dual-keyboard rig). It's lighter and smaller (when broken down) than the Spider Pro, although the SP has an extremely solid central column that is sturdier than this. But then the Spider Pro's arms aren't that sturdy -- they do the job, but they do move a bit with heavy keyboards. My silver futuristic Spider looks the part when you want a flashy, impressive-looking rig, whereas this is more unobtrusive, which is what you want sometimes. (Sure an X-stand is an even more unobtrusive and small, but I've never found an X-stand yet that's good or tall enough.)
I've put some foam rubber on the arms -- keyboards don't move at all with this on. I've also epoxy glued the plastic feet to the stands. Wingnuts were just standard-sized nuts and I found spares at B&Q.
