A pivoting guitar wall hanger that won't wear out.
After 20 plus years as a core guitar accessory, String Swing's model CC01 is getting a makeover. The renewed Home and Studio Guitar Keeper has a deep cradle design that prevents the guitar from being improperly placed in its hanger, which promotes safer handling of your instrument. This guitar wall hanger design is also great for guitars that have a headstock with single or uneven heels. The yoke pivots to cradle the headstock, but is free of mechanical, moving parts that would wear over time so this product is manufacturer-guaranteed for life.

I would have given this 4 stars if the hanger hook threads were compatible with the same companies Mandolin/Uke hanger product that looks nearly identical in design and finish. It would be nice to be able to simply change out the threaded hangers on the wood base to alter instrument placement. Unfortunately designers chose different threads for each hanger, so to trade locations, you must remove the entire base from the wall. Don't get me wrong, it's a great product. It would just have been nice to have a consistent deign theme in their line of instrument hangers to make altering placement a bit easier.

Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
The mounting bracket and hanger arm work great. The problem with these is if you have to use the included drywall mounting screws. These screws are worthless. I purchased two of these units and out of the 4 included drywall screws, only 1 worked properly; the others merely broke in half when I tried to screw them in. If you know exactly where your studs are and can be certain you can put the screws into the stud, then this product will likely work well for you. If you plan on using the drywall mounting screws, forget it. Buy another product or go to your local hardware for drywall mounts that actually work.
Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
I got 2 of these a week ago to try them out. Now I know I can get a few more to put throughout the studio. I've got a few other brands up as well but these are the easiest to mount and best looking ones I've got. The come with 2 drywall type screws that are long enough to grab a stud very well and also 2 large drywall anchors (that I would not trust my heavier guitars to). To me, the only weak point is where the hanger shaft screws into the wood block's "wing-nut". Maybe in future versions the manufacturer could make this a larger surface but if not, they will still hold up to normal use. The packaging says 15 pound max, by the way. I did not need any extras such as bumper pads. The hangers are very nicely shaped and coated. I'm using them for my Ibanez RG guitars and they grab well. There is no way my guitars would fall out and there is 2 3/4 inches between the bottom of the guitar body and the wall. Hope to have been some help.

Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
I bought some of these to hang around my music room. I was very pleased to find that they came with drywall anchors (and my favorite kind, too). So, I was able to install them wherever I wanted quickly and easily.
They are attractive and functional. My only complaint is that I have a few for guests and some instruments don't hand straight down when the prongs are parallel to the floor because the headstock is asymmetrical. It's not a big deal to give them a twist, but if the prongs floated, they could self-adjust to the correct angle.
Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
I have guitars, basses, a mandolin, ukulele and banjo and this hold them all very well...and I'm paranoid about this stuff! This is the best String Swing to date. I'm glad they updated it. The cradle is nice and deep and holds my instruments securely. There is no need for those slide on rings on the end of the cradle anymore (those things annoyed me to no end). I'd like to change out all my others to the updated design, but meh.
Wall hanging is the way to go. Your instrument isn't jammed in some stuffy case or resting on something throwing off the intonation...its hanging there...looking at you...asking to be played...then...you play it! Perfect.
So far so good.
Seems fair.
Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
Decent wall anchor. I feel more suited for full-bodied acoustics then for solid-body electrics but does the job.
Basic guitar wall hanger. Comes with two drywall screws and plastic anchors. I have 15 guitars in the "man room", with 9 of them hanging on the wall. These have a farther "stand off" from the wall so when I put a solid-body electric in it, it seems to float too far away from the wall compared to my other hangers. I put my full sized acoustics in these hangers and they fit much better and don't touch the wall. Plenty of clearance.
Built fairly decent. Drywall screws have very fine threads that come with it. I changed out to a more coarse thread...seems to be more solid in the anchor.
About average priced. Good value.

Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
Good deal.
Good product. Installs incredibly easily, even for an inept like me! Instant wall art, PLUS convenience!
Quality is good. Basically a block of wood with a rubber-coated metal pivoting hanger.
I couldn't make it myself for this price.
Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
Nice hanger that works for all types of guitars. It is just wide enough to accept my classical guitars with traditional 2" nutwidth. It works great on my martin and taylor flattop acoustics. Works fine with my strat. It also works fine with my eastman hollow-body archtop - here my initial concern was that the higher neck angle of the guitar would make the body hang too close to the wall - but it works just fine. In every case, the guitar is held securely, goes on and off effortlessly (maybe just a tad effort is needed for my classicals where the wide neck just fits the hanger), and the back of the guitar body hangs atleast 2" away from the wall thus minimizing chances of scratching.
Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
The hook is covetered with cushion material so it will not scratch the finish and it swivels for heads that are not symmetrical like my bass which has all the tuning pegs on one side. This wall hook is not made for exactly that use but it seems to adapt pretty well. If I was using the instrument every day or several times a day I would want something a little more specific and with a wall mounted bumper to protect the body of the instrument but for my uses, it works quite well.
Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
I have eight String Swing guitar wall hangers arranged on my home office wall. They are sturdy, attractive, and ideal for acoustic and electric guitars alike.I screwed these directly into studs, rather than use the wall anchors. I was pretty nervous the first time I let my Les Paul rest on one of these, but the hanger didn't budge and inch. The length of the "arm" connecting the hanger to the wall is exactly right for a full-size acoustic guitar (the guitar body sits about an inch away from the wall).Note that you might need to pry the hanger wider to fit some guitars. I had to do so for my classical guitar, as it has a very wide nut.
Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
I ordered 4 of these units. Coverd all kinds of guitars, from BC Rich to Les Paul, and 12 string acoustic dreadnoughts. Handled them all well, even that heavy Les Paul, but I did make sure to put them into a stud instead of using the wall anchors. I'm happy with them, they seem to be a quality product.

Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
I have a several guitars and I like to keep a couple of them out of the case for easy access. The String Swing holds them securely and out of the way of my dogs. The old design required you to twist the guitar as you put in into the Swing to get past the little stoppers that kept your guitar from falling off onto the floor, which usually resulted in hitting the wall with the body of my guitar. The new design allows you to just sit in in there. It's nice and secure, and I can just grab one up whenever the mood hits me.
Pros

- Very easy to install

Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
I bought two of these so we could hang my boyfriend's guitars on the wall so that they didn't keep getting knocked over. We have a wooden post that worked perfectly for this, as we have the guitars on opposite sides of the post. The holders are easy to install, very sturdy, attractive and very reasonably priced.
Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
fits my Guild Bass Acoustic Guitar, my 0017 Martin, my Taylor classical. well built, solid and safe
Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
What a great way to display and keep those basses easy to grab. My studio now has 5 of these and I want 3 or 4 more. Mount these to a wall stud with long deck screws and you have a safe way to hang those axes that won't mar finishes after years of hanging around. Good product, buy some!
Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
Overall, this product worked as described, and looks nice. The second lot I bought on sale, so I was pleased at the price.
I purchased four of these, originally, to see how they would work for displaying my Grandad's mandolins and banjos in our music room. They worked well and looked nice enough that I purchased eight more for violins and guitars of my own. The only thing I chanced is to add a rubber band across the arms in front of the instruments so that the arms couldn't accidentally separate during an earthquake, dropping my instruments.
The quality is good, and the brackets are attractive. rubber coating protects the necks of the instruments.
I was unable to find a comparable product for less.
Comments about String Swing Home and Studio Guitar Keeper (Wall Hanger):
I bought this about 3 weeks ago, it is awesome. Practically a steal for 10 bucks!. I am getting 3 more for my other guitars. So much better than traditional guitar stands on the floor. BUY THIS!
