Excellent Amp! Lots of Sound!

I purchased this amp about a month and a half ago and am very pleased with the sound effects and loudness, no problem getting over the drummer of a rock band. Love the wah, distortion variations, it can make your guitar into what ever you want it to be. All the basics are included of course - chorus, reverb, flange, rotary, and others I don't even know how to use yet. It is a neat little package - portable at 32lbs - for those of us with herneas. Very good value for the money. Highly recommend!

I first bought this amp and i really liked it, but after about a month and a half, the input started coming loose and eventually fell into the amp, then one i turned it on and it just blew. This may have been a factory default, but it still made me mad.

I recieved one from my father as an early christmas present, It only took like 3-4 days max to ship! It came and when I opened it, I was so excited... when I plugged into it, i was amazed by all the things i could do with it! It was like there was no end to the sounds i could create! the sound is perfect for small gigs! thanks Musician's Friend!

Who's it for?

I purchased one of these because I thought for the price I have to try it. I recently bought a Fender Princeton 65 because I am tired of hauling around my Hot Rod Deluxe for practice. Well the Spitfire was cheaper than what I paid for the Fender, had more features and I had learned from the Princeton that 65 watts was enough power for small gigs and practice. Bottom line, I'm keeping the Princeton. The Spitfire is a great amp for playing around with the effects but does not have a good sonic quality for picky people like me. It is however good for somebody who does't mind trying to tweak it to produce a decent tone. The presets are it's biggest disapointment. This review is aimed at the budget minded pro who might consider buying it for the same reasoning...Don't. Newbie...Can't beat the price for features and it's not that bad, just not as good as the Fender. I returned it.

This is a great sounding amp, quiet or cranked. One peice of advice though. Put a drop of super glue on all the 1/4 inch jacks(especially the input)they are plastic and will not last long if you dont do this. Other than that a great amp, can be used for any type gig. Oh yeah its very light so,if you have a bad back, get this amp!

Great amp

This amp is AWESOME. It's much bigger than the price tag and most of the effects were great. I play electric violin so its hard to find an amp this good at a price this good.
