Don't Forget

An incredible wealth of power and tones from an amp head that can fit on your pedal board.

With its four amazing, modifiable channels, the Amp1 will take you on a stunning journey through the history of guitar amplification (from Clean to Vintage to Classic and Modern tones). It also features switchable and adjustable Boost and Reverb controls, three integrated footswitches, a truly outstanding speaker simulation output for recording and a headphone output, giving you all the options you would expect from a modern, boutique tube amp.

You can take your AMP1 with you wherever you are; it fits right in your gigbag. It’s incredibly compact and very light. Just to make everything that little bit quicker before and after the gig, AMP1 can be securely attached to (and then removed from) a single handle on your pedalboard or amp cab thanks to Easylock, the magnetic attachment system from BluGuitar. With the Remote1 floor control, you can build AMP1 into a fully programmable amp system—including adjustable power-soak, master, volume, gain and MIDI functions. AMP1 offers you the ultimate in practicality and tonal flexibility.

AMP1 will make you stand out from the crowd. It offers you every possibility to find your own personal tone without having to get lost in a jungle of countless functions.

If you’re a player who needs just two basic sounds, then AMP1 is your perfect match. Should you want more sounds to play with, though, Remote1 offers a bunch of extra possibilities. Plus, if you want to integrate your favorite pedals into your Amp1 setup, use the Remote1 with the Looperkit to create a fully programmable switching system featuring four true bypass relay loops.

Finding Your Tone
Only with your tone will you become one with your guitar. Find it, and you’ll be truly happy. You’ll find that it’s not just AMP1’s tones that inspire you, but that its playing feel will also draw you in, until you’re hooked. AMP1’s direct response, fat bass that never muddies, trebles that never get tinny and annoying, and almost unfathomable depth of tone allow you to become one with your guitar. With AMP1 and its custom controls you have everything you need to find your own tone.

Comments about BluGuitar Amp1 100W Guitar Amp Head:

This is a remarkable little amp with a brutally BIG sound. The design is very flexible, and though I probably won't use the "Modern" voice much, the other three will all get a workout.
Don't be put off by the simple design on the top. There are additional controls for three of the voices on the side, and I've found that using the boost on moderate settings adds even more tweaks to the tones.
It's hard to imagine an amp this simple that gives any more flexibility and portability than the Blug. If you need big power in a small package, this is likely what you need.

Comments about BluGuitar Amp1 100W Guitar Amp Head:

This is a great little amp if you need something this portable, similar to the Quilter pedal board amps. I prefer this one, though it is pricier, because it is essentially a four channel amp. It's distortion is a little brittle, but that can be dialed back via it's tone controls. You can pretty easily equalize volumes and set the boost level for solos, even for your pristine clean solos. If you pair this with the Remote 1, you have floor button control of all four channels, you can have a master attenuation OR a power soak: very useful if you need to make sure you don't over drive a speaker not rated for 100 watts.

I also got their Nanocab for a really small, light, and portable rig: the only pedals I might add are echo (Flashback Delay), and Tremolo (I use the cheap enough Valeton Corral Mod - better on Optical Tremolo that it's other effects); the build in reverb is fine for everything but surf drenched Dick Dale (get a Boss '63 Fender Reverb for that ;-).

For small, quick set up shows, where either I don't need that much volume, or the PA is going to do Front of House duty, so I just need some stage volume, This thing is perfect.

If you need things louder, I've used this with a Fender Deluxe 1x12 cabinet, a Marshall JVMC212, and at a show is poorly maintained Marshalls (they sounded too sizzlely even with tubes), a 1960A Cab. It will shake the walls, and with many clubs saying they provide the backline, but in fact the backline is crud, this little guy will put you in control of your sound.

Sure, a full on tube amp does sound better (Fender Twin Reverb, Marshall JVM410, etc.), but those things weigh 75 pounds or more and are huge.

I fully recommend the Amp1 and Remote 1. Not cheap, but worth it in my estimation.

A Good Sounding Solid State Amp

      By Guitar Playa

      from Allen, TX

Comments about BluGuitar Amp1 100W Guitar Amp Head:

My first amp was a solid state Vox, then a Lab Series L7, then Gallien Krueger. Next I discovered tube amps - funny that it took so long - but after that I've been through too many to count. I just love amps and getting new ones inspires me to play. I'm a part time gigging player doing everything from Elvis to Ozzy. I currently use a Crate Power Block solid state amp as a backup.

This is good sounding solid state amp. In fact I'd say its about as good as any of them. It is well thought out and feature laden.

It is not a tube amp and doesn't even compare to a Peavey Classic series amp which is a lower end tube amp. The difference is HUGE.

That said, it might be a good alternative for someone who needs the features it provides - for the price I sure don't. I returned mine - I really wanted to like this amp.
