I love this amp!! I'm a solo performer and I've been using the Fender Passport system for over ten years. I've been happy with the Passport but have wanted to lighten my load and still get a good sound. The Acoustasonic 90 does the trick. A lot of my performances are in smaller rooms so this works perfectly but even in somewhat larger spaces this little guy puts out a clean, clear, warm sound. At 18 lbs. it's as light as a feather and easy to set up and go.
Two things that I noticed, but aren't deal breakers for me, are the lack of a master volume control (each of the two channels has it's own volume control)
and no place to store the power cord. The power cord isn't permanently attached to the amp so it would be a nice touch if Fender had a slot on the back of the amp ( much like the Passport amp) where you can store it when not in use.
This amp has a cool, retro kind of look to it. I recommend spending a little extra and getting the cover for the amp. Slips right over the top and helps protect it and keep it in good shape as you take it in and out of the car.
I'd highly recommend the Fender Acoustasonic 90!

I thought this would be a good amp to use instead of running through my main rig that I use for my electrics. Although it's listed at 90 watts it wasn't very strong. The volume level didn't change after I got to 5. I was hoping for a better tone from a Fender but it seemed very generic and not very warm. I know that for the price I shouldn't have expected too much but I expected better from Fender. If you want a instrument/vocal combo for small porch or coffee shop gigs it may do well but I would look elsewhere if you really want to bring out the tone and warmth of your instrument.

We use Fishman most of the time. I thought I'd try the Fender for a spare. I was very pleased with the power, cleanliness and easy portability. So many of the so called acoustic amps do not have good preamps. This one does. A GREAT little amp.

I've only used this amp a couple of times so it is really new to me. But from what I have experienced, this is going to be one great amp for me. I have to have some more time to get aquainted with it to get the most out of it but it is coming along. I will add to this review as time goes on.

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 90 90W Acoustic Combo Amp:
if you are looking for a small, portable acoustic amp...THIS is the one! It sounds great, very easy to use and the vocal capabilities are fantastic. I was very impressed when I plugged in and began jamming....My guitar tone was unchanged, it was great to hear the tone of my guitar being projected back to me from across the room. The effects can be very subtle or alien, depending on the saturation you decide to use. Fender has the reputation it deserves, it is a brand that you can trust to stand up throughout years of use, always reliable and great sounding. Buy this amp, you will not be disappointed.

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 90 90W Acoustic Combo Amp:
Earlier I said that if I exchanged the amp I would be without an amp for a week or so. NOPE! Even though I told Musicians Friend Saturday night that I couldn't return my amp until the following Wednesday or Thursday, they shipped the replacement amp right away so I wouldn't have to be without an amp for a SINGLE DAY! That is what you call EXCELLENT customer service!
Beyond that, I played an outdoor gig last night and was setup on a second story porch playing outdoors down a hill. My partner went down to sound check and said my sound was perfect for mic and instrument. I'm very pleased with this amp and especially with Musician's Friend!

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 90 90W Acoustic Combo Amp:
Very happy with this amp. From a bang for the buck consideration, this is a very good acoustic amp as compared to a Fishman or other, much more expensive amps. Power output is plenty strong for home or small venue use; very lightweight and easy to use. Sufficient amount of effects for both voice and instrument. Nice, clean sound with rich and warm tones. Features an additional hum canceling option that you can set or have it intelligently detect. I am more of an electric guitar player and have used Fender tube amps for 30 years. Never thought of Fender for an acoustic amp - very happy with the purchase (and worth the back order wait of 3 months).

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 90 90W Acoustic Combo Amp:
I thought I might use this just for practice because I also have a Loudbox Artist and a small PA, but I may gig with it...I had tried this amp several times at local music stores, but I didn't like the sound...but I never used it with my own guitar...so there was a price drop at MF, and I got a further discount, so I pulled the trigger to give it another try...it really sounds quite good at home and with my guitars...on some guitars the treble on the amp needs to be toned down a bit, but overall it sounds great with my acoustic guitars and vocal mic...the effects are useful, but not as good as separate effects...I also use a Porchboard Bass for rhythm, and I am really surprised how that just kicks through this amp...I plugged it into the AUX input...I wish amp makers would stop using 1/8" jacks for AUX inputs and headphone outputs, and use the more professional 1/4" jacks...also I wish the AUX input had a volume control...I have to use a Boss GE-7 EQ pedal to control volume and EQ for the Porchboard Bass...but it is a good sounding and very usable amp...and I can't wait to try it on a gig, especially with the light weight...another plus: I play my Danelectro '63 through this amp and it sounds great, so I don't have to keep an acoustic amp and an electric amp in my living room....all around a nice little amp...

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 90 90W Acoustic Combo Amp:
I've had many acoustic amps, but this Fender lives up to the name. The amp delivers exaclty as you expect from Fender, with lots of power, good choices of effects, high quality components and of course a clean and natural sound. On top of all that, Musicians Friend has marked down the price compare to competitors. In fact, mine was right at thirty percent less on sale. Can't beat that or the deals from MF!

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 90 90W Acoustic Combo Amp:
It sounds great, it's easy to use, it's light and small and portable, it has plenty of volume and with separate eq for instrument and mic channels you can shape your sound very nicely, but the cover on mine is a little bit messed up on the top right front corner and it caught my eye the minute I unpacked it. No one else has even noticed it and I might be able to live with it but the thought of that corner ever coming unglued and peeling back is giving me the creeps so I'm probably exchanging it. It is such an inconvenience to do that and I will be without an amp for probably a week but fortunately, Musicians Friend is super consumer oriented and they will work it out with me so I'm rating the amp based on performance not this disappointing flaw. The amp is everything they say it is and in my opinion, when it comes to electronics, Fender does not make junk.

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 90 90W Acoustic Combo Amp:
Works fine, solid build. The effects could be a bit more controllable. The speaker could be a little better. Biggest issue is no volume. 90 watts , no way . 20 or so solid-state watts. Small rooms or practice. Haven't used the line-out yet , cant tell you about that . It had potential to be awesome. But I am disappointed. If you need an all in one and volume isn't an issue it may be for you. Its not a bad product , it just falls short for me. I am going to keep it for a while but see myself dumping it down the road. Maybe the line out will help to redeem it, I will have to see...

Light weight, powerful.
The bad---> very poor to non functional feedback control and printing around the FX selector knobs is very small almost unreadable in good lighting, low light forget it. If it were not for this I would give this amp a 6 out of 5 stars.

Comments about Fender Acoustasonic 90 90W Acoustic Combo Amp:
I bought this for small performances in coffee shops and such, and I have my doubts about its capabilities. First off, I bought this and when it was delivered the guitar side worked perfectly but there was a huge short in the PA part. So I sent it back. Luckily, it was an easy return and didn't cost me anything. The one I received as an exchange worked perfectly.
I have my doubts about the overall sound quality even when it's working perfectly. There is a tremendous amount of feedback coming from the microphone even at a small volume level and I have yet to figure out how to solve this problem. I sold a nice 4 channel PA in order to buy something more portable. I'm not completely satisfied with the product but it will do until I find something better to meet a solo artist's needs.
