At age 64 my back could no longer take lugging a heavy amp around and lifting it in and out of the trunk. Thank you Fender for the Rumble series! The Rumble 100 has the 12" Eminence speaker, is MUCH fuller/fatter sounding than the Rumble 40, and weighs just 22lbs. I played it with my 20 piece Senior Big Band in a large hall and it EASILY filled the room at 1/4 volume. It's LOUD. My Precision Bass got a perfect sound with NO DISTORTION with all tone controls straight up (notched.....nice), no drive, gain at 10 o'clock, and both contour and vintage engaged. The last 2 immediately gives me the sound I want......what could be easier? All the features and the low price make this a great value. Thank You Fender and Musician's Friend.

I own a Fender Rumble 25, I used playing my fretless electric bass, with other acoustic musicians in a pub atmosphere. I was so impressed with it, I purchased the Fender Rumble 100 amp, to play with electric musicians, and drums. I was very happy with the weight of both of these amps, very portable. The FR 100 I received had a bad speaker, so I returned it.

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 1x12 100W Bass Combo Amp:

I have to say Fender has nailed this new Rumble. I have classic Fender tone in a small lightweight combo. I can keep up with 2 guitars and a drummer and still cut through the mix with ease. This will be my main gig amp for small venues and rehersal. It can even be used for larger gigs thanks to the xlr out and just run through the PA using the amp as a monitor on stage. Fender hit this one out of the park.

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 1x12 100W Bass Combo Amp:

An outstanding amp! This completely redesigned Rumble 100 is a totally different amp from previous models -- a very clean amplifier section with superb sound, all the features I need, and in a very lightweight and transportable package. In the store, I played several models of this new series and overall was quite impressed with the sound quality and price.

My needs for this amp are a bit unusual. For larger venues, I use a Markbass Jeff Berlin amp (absolutely top notch). However, for small gigs I was looking for a more portable combination amp for both upright bass & jazz guitar. This Rumble 100 turned out to be the perfect choice.

The stock Eminence speaker is actually pretty good. However, I wanted something a bit clearer and cleaner. The recently developed Eminence Deltalite II 2512 neodymium speaker is appropriate for both bass guitar applications as well as for PA systems. I completely agree. It's like my Rumble 100 woke up and cleared its throat!

I slightly modified the cabinet by stapling in some R13 fiberglass insulation inside and also filled and sealed off the two ports, so I now have a fully sealed cabinet. The internal volume of the cabinet is less than 1.5 cubic feet -- within the recommended sealed enclosure specs for the 2512 speaker.

I now have a very portable 20 lb. Fender amp that sounds nearly identical to my rather old and heavy Polytone... and I can play either bass or jazz guitar through this amp and sound absolutely fantastic. The new Rumble 100 is a terrific amp -- especially with an Eminence Deltalite II speaker. Highly recommended.

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 1x12 100W Bass Combo Amp:

I tried this amp at a few stores, and really liked it. And I was getting worried my old GK standby was getting pretty rough around the edges. After reading all the great reviews, and a surprise influx of cash, I decided to take the plunge. I couldn't be happier. I've tried it with all of my basses and it sounds great. The filters are cool, especially the "vintage" filter. I'm really thrilled. I play mostly in Jazz combos, big bands and as a pit musician, and this thing fits the bill. And did I say it's really light. And reasonably priced.

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 1x12 100W Bass Combo Amp:

This Amplifier Lives up to its name and rumbles. I was looking for an amplifier to use for at home practice and small venue gigging this amp has done the job and a bit more. The Amplifier has plugs for XLR inputs on the back has ports for hooking in a line in so you can jam with any music you have on your iPod, iPhone, or mp3 player, there are inputs of sending and receiving effects.

All amplification knobs are clearly marked and there are 3 settings of sound countouring, vintage sound, and brightness effects.

Overall this has been the best Amplifier I have purchased within this Price range minus my Vox for my Electric Guitar

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 1x12 100W Bass Combo Amp:

I am an older musician who needed an amp that sounds good & is easy to carry (22 lbs). I play bass in a 15 piece dance band - I needed an amp loud enough to balance the other 14 pieces in our band. This amp has no problem being heard with this larger group. I also love practicing at home with this amp as it has a earphone plug and aux. plug to use with my computers drum sounds. I also play at church with a MarkBass (2) cabinet amp with a separate head. Of course my 100W Fender Rumble Bass Amp doesn't compare to that amp - but then I don't have to move it either. All in all - I am very happy with my

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 1x12 100W Bass Combo Amp:

I picked up the rumble v3 for our deployed chapel to replace an old behringer combo. I knew I would have better sound quality, but wasn't expecting much more. I had only intended to use it for a stage monitor and put the signal from my DI pedal to the house. Not only does this combo sound Grrrrrreat! But it also pumps out some serious volume. It can actually carry the sanctuary above a (gospel) drummer without being in the house. The fact that it's very light is abonus too. I'm going to pick up one for my music room when I get back home.

I'm a blues/rock bassist and have been playing for about 7 years in multiple bands and have had my share of jam sessions, and this amp is amazing! Literally, it is so light I could pull it out of the box like it was nothing! As soon as I plugged it in, I was blown away with the sound. It definitley has that "thumping" sound that we all like. I would deffinitley reccomend.

I am a mainly a guitar player that switched to bass and play in a 3 piece rock band. This amp lived up to all the hype. It has great sound, enough volume for a small to medium sized gig. I used the line out and ran it to the board and used the amp for an onstage monitor. It is super light so transporting it is awesome. Fender did a great job with this amp. I will be getting the foot switch so I can control the overdrive from the floor.

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 1x12 100W Bass Combo Amp:

I saw this 100 watt amp reviewed in Premiere Guitar as a great value. So I ordered a 40 watt at a lower price to get into the product line. Along came the Prez Sale, so I upgraded to the 100 watt amp. It has so many variations of tone that the review is truly understood. My sales rep handled the order with ease, thanks MF. I tried my Strat thru it, and it brings back the idea of the '59 Bassman. The amp fits on a stand, and the controls face forward, what's not to like about that. I'd say " Get one " and start jammin'

Getting right to the point as advised by Musicians Friend; this amp took me by surprise when I picked it up and noticed how light it was in weight. Having picked up different amps for many years, I couldn't believe a big sounding amp could weigh so little. Due to the many options you have on the control panel of the Rumble, there are so many sounds you can dial in. If you want it low with a heavy bass sound you've got it. Should you want a sound with less treble and bass it is also there. The smaller watt Fender Rumble would have probably been all I needed since I use mine for recording. Even so, I would rather have more watts than needed than not have enough. While the 100 watt would play most of the gigs you do, I would go with the bigger one if I were still playing live just to be sure. Other than that, this is without a doubt the best amp in this price range you can buy. The Fender rumble 100 could be put up against ones double in price and still holds its own. Fender is to be commended on an amp of this quality for little money

Comments about Fender Rumble 100 1x12 100W Bass Combo Amp:

I use my Rumble 100 for both electric bass (Charvel Jackson) and my keyboard rig, where I play keyboard bass along with piano, organ, synth, etc. I was astonished at how well it reproduces treble sounds it wasn't even intended to, as well as keeping a good solid bass line going. I have filled a largish club venue with rich sound, and even played outdoors on a semi-trailer, with no evidence of the speaker wanting to go on holiday in the middle of the gig like my old amp (you know the sound - crack crack fuzz pop silence). I'd like a built-in compressor so I can play slap without sending patrons home with shell-shock, and reaching all the way behind to get at the controls is a nuisance. But the small size, helium-filled lighteness, and astonishing accuracy of sound makes this a perfect amp for my purposes. THanks, Fender!

It would be fine for small band situations, practice, very small venues, etc. it lacked the bottom end I prefer. Very light and looks great. The higher wattage amp is what I will try next. Great for beginners.

                                              TLDR: BUY IT!
I ordered this amp when I bought my very first bass. For years I was stuck with a school Ampeg Little Stud bass from 1973. The bass itself was 40 pounds, and for all of its vintage appeal, I was not impressed by its condition or playability. The amp was even worse. It was a Backline 112 that weighed 50 pounds, and when I performed with it in a school gymnasium with a capacity of a mere 400 people, nobody heard me playing. When I bought my bass I knew that I needed a new amp.

Enter the Rumble 100. If this is your first amp, you might think this is a little pricey, but trust me, it is beyond worth it. I'm only 5'1", and while I could carry the heavy Ampeg bass and amp, it was starting to hurt my back. But this amp is incredibly light. I almost expected it to have zero bottom end. But when I played it, I was shocked. The sound was very well-supported, even if it's played with the bass, low, and mid down and treble all the way up (which I wouldn't recommend... I mean, it's a bass amp...) I've loved this amp ever since. But I'm not a "pro" yet, so let me tell you what some professional musicians thought when they saw my amp.

I performed with a popular local brass band that has been together since 1980. Altogether they have 50+ years of touring and gigging experience. They're used to lugging some pretty heavy equipment. When I walked in to the auditorium, I had my bass case slung over my shoulder, my amp in my hands, and all my music nestled under my arm. Of course the stage crew at the door all thought that the tiny chick (me) was about to drop everything, so they rushed over to help me by picking up my amp. They went, "What? We're wondering where the inside went, Is this it?" They thought it would sound awful. But that night, in front of 2,000 people (and there was a bass solo), everybody said they could hear me perfectly. The design is simple, the onboard controls are very effective and not too complex, and it plays loud and proud without hurting you.

I was a full time bass player for many years, playing from rock. pop, funk/dance and swing big band.
I came out of retirement to work again with bands playing a combination of Django, Chet Atkins with electro acoustic players, drums and violin. I'd sold my 4x10 cab + 350 watt stage gear and needed something light, low price and back friendly! Using an Ibanez Artcore semi acoustic bass with flatwound strings, I can get an almost unbelievable deep clear powerful sound that really moves the band along. Flatwound strings will give a thump and depth that will test any speaker and when I need it for a bigger event/music festival, the sound man just takes a line out from the XLR output It also sounds good with my Fender p bass. When you first see this combo, you might be very surprised at it's very small size and extra light weight and as I did, doubt it's ability on sight! However, I've done many gigs and been more than happy and have loads of headroom for more volume if I need it. Obviously, we have to keep in mind that it's just 100 watts and has a single "12 speaker so playing loud rock would be a struggle, but for the price and quality I don't think I could have done better.
