Don't Forget

An innovative combo that addresses your sound and transportability issues with equal aplomb.

The Shuttle series was developed by Genz¢Benz for professional players who require a flexible, full-featured bass system that is easily transportable and still sounds great.

The heart of the Shuttle series is the lightweight Shuttle 6.0 amplifier design. This 3.75-pound amplifier is available as a "head only" or in combo versions, such as this one, delivering 375W at 8 Ohms and 600W at 4 Ohms. In the combo models, the amp chassis can be easily removed from it's combo "saddle" quickly and carried to another gig in the pocket of your bass case or the available carry bag. The chassis has a handle that makes carrying the other half of the combo, the cab, just as easy to take with you.

The head is extremely useful as a standalone unit, with a headphone output that is excellent for quiet, personal practice sessions. You can adjust the volume level and tone you hear with the analog 12AX7 tube preamp, and, using the Post EQ setting on the DI, you can turn the Shuttle 6.0 into an outstanding preamp for recording. It also has an extended range input gain for active/passive sensitivity, effects loop, limiter circuit, LED status indicators, Speakon speaker outputs, tuner out, full XLR direct out interface, aux. input, and a headphone jack

The Shuttle 6.0-12T adds a rear-ported, Birch-ply enclosured amp that combines Genz¢Benz's GNX12300 neodymium 12" loudspeaker with a custom sourced bullet tweeter with attenuation control for a bass combo that is as versatile as it is pleasing to the ear.

Shuttle 6.0 combo with 112 ext cab

By chris lewis

from Southern Indiana

I have been playing for 25yrs and have owned Ampegs, SWR's, Hartke's, a Trace Elliot and a David Eden which have all been 410's or a combination of a 410 and 115. I play a 5 string Spector and the problem with it is that 410s are fast and punchy but lack the low end needed for the low B. 115's produce the bottom but tend to be muddy so I thought I would try a 112. When I came across the Shuttle 6.0 combo I was blown away. Its fast and punchy like a 410 and produces the lows closer to what a 115 will produce but much cleaner. I play small to medium sized clubs 2-3 times a month and most of the time the combo alone is enough but if I add the ext. cab it is unbelievably loud, punchy and most importantly clean and clear. This amp is light and although all the amps mentioned above are awesome in theyre own respect they are heavy and consume much space.
I also find the eq section on this amp to be the most versatile of any amp I have ever played. The tube drive on this is very nice you can dial in grit and compress just enough to mimic the sound of the classic ampeg heads which is very nice. I have owned this amp for close to a year now and it has never let me down. With the Genz I bought my last amp!!!!

Cover it All!!!

By Stephen Testa

Buy this.........Great!!!!
I have alway searched for a small light combo that didn't sound small and light and this is it. I work in alot of small to medium non PA covered situations in a sometimes loud jazz band. This amp never sounds pushed. The detail is always there without that compressed overworked thing that most companys say their amps do and don't. Great detail for fretless. Plenty of lows for the B string. Real away from the cabinet room filling lows. Great outdoors. One hand carry in. Big sound like a good 4x10 or a 15. Bass in one hand amp in the other. thi is it. All the EQ you will ever need.
built for musicians
Had this amp for a year or so. regularly

Giant Tone, Little Box

I've been using a Hartke setup with a 128lb 4x10 in a rock band with two guitars and drums. Needless to say when I walked in with this little beast they actually laughed. I had my doubts as well, but the Genz held its own extremely well. Main on 11 and both pre's at noon was more than enough to cut through. I would like to get the controller next and wish it was included because of the quick emphasis changes that would be possible. Other than that, the tone is really good. Even set flat, my Spector Euro sounded wonderful. My only concern would be the handle lasting and you'll probably want a second cab for large venues. All the band members were impressed by the tone. Great tone + low weight, small package = 5 stars!

This little guy will impress... period

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I bought it primarily because I wanted great quality but low weight. Man did I get that. The front panel is super responsive to the slightest adjustment in changes to eq and the parametric section is particularly helpful. My bass is a high end Ibanez SR1005efm with Bartolinis and this amp easily captures all of it nuances without fail. Sound guys love the clean signal from the xlr out and it is simple a stunner, Best $1000 bucks I've spent on a piece of gear. It has not let me down.

Genz Benz answered my prayers!

By hopturn

Everything about this amp combo is pristine. The sound will blow you away. The price is nice...very boutique sounding without the boutique price for what you are getting. I'm a working musician, and I have no problem meeting any stage requirements. You can fit it in the backseat of any car, AND you get to carry your bass, amp, and effects pedals in one trip without sacrificing anything. The tone is rich and deep, with plenty of guts to accomodate any style...I use it for funk/jazz/rock etc. For some gigs I don't even bring the cab at all (get the carrying case, it's a winner and big enough for most of your stuff.) I've owned Mesa-Booogie, Eden (12 years), Ampeg, Carvin, Bergantino...this one is a real leap forward, and something that bassists who actually play more than twice a month have been waiting for a long time. I even practice more because I also use it as a headphone amp on my coffee table...a headphone amp with 600 watts of power. My goal is to get several different cabinets to keep at different rehearsal spaces, studios, and weekly gigs...there's plenty of possibilities. Lastly, it is one of the warmest, yet transparent, tones out if your bass sucks, it's going to sound a lot worse. I'm giving it a 4.5 for features simply because the Direct Out does not have a volume control, just a line/mic switch...which hasn't been a problem. I doubt there was room in the unit's configuration anyway, but it would have been nice. Also, you can't buy the cabinet with the mounting brackets separately...I spoke to the company owner about this, and he is definitely not having that for some reason...however, he was very considerate of my request and honest. Best amp I've ever owned, bar none, and if it was stolen I'd replace it in a second.

Great tone and tremendous tonal flexibility. Handles a five string with ease. Portability is unmatched. I use an extra 1-12" with it for larger venues---the same cab, but without the brackets---and it is LOUD and clear. I absolutely love it. I have also gotten compliments from sound folks on the clarity of the direct out. A little expensive, but you get your money's worth and then some.

Genz-Benz 6.0 shuttle 12T combo

By Max-hm4lS

from Levittown, NY

The first one I received crapped out after 10-15 mins. Each time I used it. The second one is fine. I use it at home with a fender p, a sadowsky, a hofner and a ric 4003, all with flats. I prefer the l.f. boost selection. The tube preamp is warm but could be warmer...the 12" neo speaker reduces weight but is not quite the same as a regular speaker. Great for 32 lbs. and for travel.

Great amp that does it all

By Chris-S3svQ

I've owned this amp for a year and a half and have been satisfied during every gig and rehearsal I've used it for, both with bass guitar and double bass. Great design, great features, and most importantly, great sound!

The Best amp I've owned

By Lil Tony

from PA

I love this amp. The price is steep but when you get it and play it is amazing. I do use my upright mostly for this amp and it gives it a really good upright sound. And when I need to switch to my electric it sounds good too. So even though the price is really steep it is really worth it.
