I tested the Kustom cabinet with a 50 watt Marshal combo and I was very impressed. I already have a bottom cab (Crate) and a 100 watt head (all tube import) so with the Kustom slant cab now I have a full stack (8X12's) and I can keep the Marshal combo as a back up or play it through the kustom, my choice. The full stack I described was only $X00.00 out the door, the brain and Kustom cab was purchased from MF and the bottom cab was purchased from Guitar center.
I think most guitarists would love to own a full stack but know that an American made one will be expensive, in fact I paid more for my 50 watt Marshal than for the whole full stack, and the stack really does sound good. I figure for what I'm doing even if a speaker goes out or a tube needs to be replaced it's still cheaper than dropping $X,X00.00 or more on a decent American stack. I haven't gig'd in 10 years and I will never crank the brain over 1/3 of the way. When I turned the Marshal up to a third of the way go'n through the Kustom it was extremely loud, I will never need anything more. In the reviews I heard people say that there amp heads were too large and hanging over the Kustom cab, I notice that it is not as deep as the bottom cab I have but my head fits on top of the Kustom perfectly, I guess I got lucky, thanks Musicians Friend!

Bought the KG 412 for use as an extension cabinet for a 4 watt tube combo with a small speaker. The good news is that it works, bad news is the construction is MDF, speakers are essentially paper plates, not heavy, not solid, there is no acoustic fill in the cabinet and the jack is a PCB. Every corner that could be cut, was cut, to bring this cabinet to market at this price point. I would not trust this cabinet with any serious amount of power behind it and I would not trust it to any sort of road use/serious gigging. If you're looking for a low watt, studio queen as I was, you'll probably be all right.

Comments about Kustom KG412 4x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:
I bought this cab today an to be honest I shopped around for awhile trying to find a good cab at a decent price. Well this happen to be it. This cab is built very nice an has a great sound. I honestly thought that speakers were going to be junk because I played the 212 combo and I could not stand it. I plugged my marshall into this bad boy an got everything I need. I have beautiful lows. nice mids and decent highs. I play alot of Breaking Benjamin and sevendust sounding stuff and it does what i need to.. Deff gig worthy!

thing thing is pure poetry. i would buy it again in a heart beat, the only thing is, it is about 3 inches smaller than a normal cabinet, so my amp head sticks out on both sides a little bit thats why i give it a 4.5 (some people might want it for its smaller size) but let me tell you, what it lacks in size it does NOT lack in sound, you can play clean jazzy riffs or meaty metal breakdowns, it is also well built, i can easily stand on top of it and rock out like theirs no tomorrow and feel secure.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I recently picked up one of these cabs.Im using it with a line six valve Hd100 head with no drama's. Lows are nice and punchy highs are bright and clear, mids are decent.Better then i was expecting for the price i paid.It might not be the best but its no where near the worst.I havent noticed any bad noises or faults yet with mine.Absolute bargain.

I don't think you can buy a better 4x12 cab for this price, or even twice the price. I've always loved Kustom cabinets. I had an old Kustom tuck and roll 2x15 bass cab back in the 80's that I wish I had never let go. I won't make that mistake with this one. I have two Pignose tube amps, a G40V combo and a G60VR head and it sounds really good with either one. I have to back off the bass EQ though because my Pigs have a very warm, full sound with this cab. Lot's of distortion too, if you want it. I like it much better than the Marshall MG that I was using. I like the way it looks, too. I don't think you can go wrong on this deal.

If your flooded with dough, go ahead and spend the big bucks on a premium cabinet. If you're just trying to accomplish a lot without spending a lot of money...I don't see any other choice.
It's absolutely a five-star cabinet, price relative. I have other big-brand, big-price cabinets that I have to admit sound better side-to-side.... but I bought this just to go with my little Fender 6W Champ tube amp. That amp and this cabinet, along with my old Pro-Co Rat, sound GREAT. Only the snobbiest of tone snobs would have anything bad to say about the tone ( and volume ) I can achieve.
Only had it a short while but I can't see anything about it that worries me.
I don't know how they even do it. This is FAR more cab than U have a right to expect at this price.

Comments about Kustom KG412 4x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:
i got this cabinet and it craped out after 30 minutes of playing. i'm still giving it 5 stars because there's good & bad in all products and this thing sounded excellent until it failed,,, so i'm going to assume that i got one that had faulty wiring or something.maybe it was built on friday at quitting time,,not real sure what happened so i thought i would err on the side of caution and upgrade to the fender mustang v 4x12. believe it or not,, i think the kustom sounded just as good,, if not a little better, especially at higher volumes. i would have liked to try another kustom but i was just to anxious to rock the hut,and thats why i'm not willing to tarnish the ratings on this product.
Comments about Kustom KG412 4x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:
I bought this for it's small size and really was expecting to have to upgrade the speakers. I gotta say it doesn't sound all that bad. The lows are nice not too "boomy" the mids aren't really all that great and the highs are decent. I tried it with a few different 5/20/100 watt heads tube and solid state. The cabinet / handles feel sturdy and well made but the grill is a little flimsy. I don't gig anymore so the lack of casters isn't an issue but I can always add them on if I need to. I'll play it as is and if I need to down the road I'll upgrade the speakers and add casters. All in all a great deal from Kustom for the money!

Comments about Kustom KG412 4x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:
I've been using this cab for almost two years on a very regular basis. I bought it because I needed one and didn't have a ton of money to spend. I got an Ibanez toneblaster head with it, and from the start I hated it, the tones were horrible there was zero warmth and richness, I just couldn't stand it. I bought a digitech rp355 and that helped a little, then the tone hunt began. I started looking into my pickups and ended up buying a new guitar with EMG's in it, that help a lot, then I decided to change the head, so I got a fender Roc Pro 1000 and that made a world of difference, however, it still isnt there yet. The only thing left to change is the speakers, they just can't handle what I'm throwing at them I guess, they get awfully muddy sounding, everyone else says it sounds fine but I can hear it and it's not good. I still gave them 3 stars because it has been reliable and the cab is well built, but I believe it is worth the extra money to go ahead and get a better 412, that is if you are like me and tend to get picky about the sound quality. If you don't care and just want to play heavy distortion all the time then this cab will be fine for you, but if you want warmth and richness to come from your amp this really is not the cab for you. All of this being said I won't be getting rid of it, because it is reliable and you never know when it might come in handy as a back up.

Comments about Kustom KG412 4x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:
Bought this cab about 4 years ago with a Kustom head. The tone on this thing is awesome. I have run a huge variety of pedals through this, and also I get a great sound from just going directly into the head. I've used this in the studio, taken it on the road and to this day, I still use it. It has held it's own for 4 years solid, and I don't see me NEEDING another amp any time in the near future. Great product!

Comments about Kustom KG412 4x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:
I bought this cabinet a couple of years ago to mate up with my Crate V100 Tube Head. My thoughts were, even if I destroyed the speakers, I could add some really good speakers and have a very good cabinet for a good price. Well, I'm still waiting on the speakers to fly apart and the sound from the V100 watt tube head is as good as anything I've owned in the past and better than a lot of high end cabinets. My total cost so far for the V100 and Kustom Half Stack is 450
